my friend showed me this game. At first i was hooked by the character (specifically mika XD) and now i stayed because of the music (gregorious is hard af)
it's kind of interesting to note that the character designs of Blue Archive are usually really simple. This may seem like it'd be a downside compared to other gacha designs that are more playful and detailed such as in r1999 or hoyo games, or like vtuber designs in hololive. But ironically, for artists, I didnt realize just how great it is to make fanart of these simplistic designs. If I have to say, blue archive is probably the most enjoyable gacha to make fanart of, and my art friends also say that blue archive characters are way easier and faster to draw, and they didnt notice it until they started making fanart of vtubers or something. It allows us to truly enjoy drawing these characters we love so freely instead of having to worry about the minor and specific details of an outfit. And that's why we see so much fanart of new characters spread so quickly It's not something thats truly remarkable about blue archive for most people, but it's something I appreciate.
idk, especially as an anime fan, i've kinda always preferred the simplicity and casual clothing of BA characters as opposed to the flashy complexity of other gacha game characters, that's definitely one thing BA has got going for it even if i don't follow it anymore. so, some of us do just *prefer* simpler, more believable designs too. i think it can be a good thing and an upside, along with what you mentioned of course.
If Blue Archive isn't paying you to advertise for them, they really need to be. Hearing your completely honest and heartfelt praise of the game is really touching and very relatable.

There is no doubt, 112% confidence that THAT is a railgun she's carrying.", and then later when volume 2 chapter 2 released is when the "Aris incident" happened. Flow of events: - pull on midori banner til get 3star. - gets izuna (sadge) - pulls 10 on Aris banner for the lols - gets 2 copies of her back to back. And now i am a proud Aris enthusiast due to knowing what's a railgun at first sight. (Also "GAMING!!1!1")
I just recently caught up with the story after starting in April this year. I was definitely not expecting this cutesy gacha to have some VERY dark stories, like I was genuinely suprised (Chapter 3). I love this game it's my comfy game that I play before I go to bed as an unwinder. I also had to spark for Yoshima, but it was worth it I got the band trio.
while i agree that relationship stories are kinda the main thing about the game, pls and pls for the love of god do people not forget about the main story, so many of my favorite characters came from there like aru, neru, himari, toki, hifumi, azusa, and so much more because of their role and appearance in the story, example of this is that i found serika's design to be so generic but after playing the story she became one of my favorites and her design especially her summer ver grew on me alot
great vid. the story and relationship stories drew me into this game. even characters i wasn’t interested in really grew on me when i learned more about them. the community is really fun too (if you stay away from the drama)
What got me into blue archive is tsurugi, every time I got chance to pull I always hoping to get her and I got her, without her I wouldn’t know many students and their wonderful and great story😊

While I do agree that the character stories are important I do argue that the character progression is shown through the main story (especially for the one who appears on them) so you're missing a bunch if you dont read the main story XD
very nice but i don't think recomending the anime for a story summary is the best idea, mostly because the anime cuts short a lot of the humor and fanservice that there is in the main story it doesn't give you a real feel of the story
It also cuts a lot of personality and military sense out of sensei and only covers Volume 1 before Volume F. So you don't get a wider grasp of this world.
Personally i first tried blue archive when they released Mika. I grinded for her and got her. When i started playing the main story it literally made me quit the game because I didn't vibe with it. Anyways i came back for some reasons and I really enjoy the events 👍
idk about future chapters but My issues with the 1st and 2nd volume is that the way they ended. I think the anime did a fantastic job watching the stuggle of the FTF gang struggling to save Hoshino and that build up to the rescue, whereas the game, they just....sort did it. no climatic build up to the rescue. I have similar conniptions with Volume 2 ending. So ,for those, I can completely understand. idk about the others since I haven't read through them myself

[ACTUAL HONEST REVIEW] Half of the relationship stories are bad (early ones and some of the students don’t even have voices) and don’t contribute anything to the main story that is the best part of the game, two first main story chapters are 5/10 and the rest until Vol.F is 9/10 then it drops to 3/10 for chapter 4 and 5/10 for 5. so worth reading till vol f After that you’ll play for a while, read some sometimes great and mostly underwhelming and too short event stories and slowly burn out then if you’re a try hard you’ll only pull for meta characters and beat torments. So after playing Blue Archive for a year and a half i can say that you should just read the story, maybe play all the missions beat some bosses and quit. I say that after not skipping a day for the entire time, it was good yeah but the magic of Blue Archive wears off, pretty slowly but it does. And you’re playing the game the best way possible so keep playing and have fun.
Despite technically being a money making gacha game designed to drain your wallet, you can tell Blue Archive was made with real passion and love. The writer's of the story were trying to create something with real heart, and cared about creating a good product, not only thinking of profits. It kind of bewilders me considering the game's business model. I'm also grateful to Blue Archive for creating one of the only spaces on the whole internet where people can be openly lolicons without any judgement from anyone. Can't think of a single other community, as even the most degen communities now are filled with people to equate liking lolis to being a predator in the making. The BA community is just a good place where people can be degenerates and celebrate their love and passion for weird things. I hope that one day there are more spaces like this.

While Vol 1 can be funny (unwelcome school moments) that Volume, at least the first chapters, serves as tutorial to ease the player into the characters and setting Vol 2 (assuming you read chronologically, meaning you only read ch 1) is a good and easy to follow story. Vol 2 (if you decide to read ch 2 directly after ch 1) this one requires Volume F for the story to feel complete (hence I advice saving this chapter for last before starting Volume F) Vol 3 - Here’s where the story starts to click together. Where the player can begin to see what Blue Archive is.
