'Morella' read by Vincent Price

  • A slightly ropey recording, but a good reading by Mr Price of one of Poe's weirdest tales. What on earth is going on here? I'm not sure, but there's a certain Dr Freud who really needed this sort of thing to get famous.

      The first one is "Monastery Graveyard in the Snow" by Caspar David Friedrich. The next is Harry Clarke's illustration for Poe's "Ligeia".

    Wow, the defect at the 1:15 mark must be in all recordings of this. Nearly an entire paragraph is missing at that glitch. The same defect is on my 5-CD set of The Edgar Allan Poe Audio Collection.
