  • In episode 33 I start making the final touches to the top end.
I mount the MSD ignition system, get the thermostat fitted, sort of the injector wiring loom and paint the cam covers.

You are brave putting that in the oven! I did my k20 cover with a hot air gun, was a bit more hard work, but cheaper than a divorce. 😆

Haha! I had to get official sign off which meant quite a bit of persuasion! Luckily Mrs Project 5axo is a legend!

I did some of that paint in an oven before and the smell was awful. Didn't go down to well with the wife!

@@spanthefestaman yeah it was bad. I did it on a no fan setting with all the doors and windows open. In the end it was all gone after an hour or two.

You've turned comments off in your new vid about the turbo bud, may be worth turning them on if you want some replies!

The adapter plate you use on the intake, is it for a TU5J4 throttle body? If so, do you have a link to it please?

What tape are you using on the engine bay loom? I’ve got Tessa tape but it’s the “soft touch” stuff, I think it’s only good for interior wiring, looking for something more suited to the bay! build is looking great so far bud keep it up 👊🏻

I also use Tesa tape but its not the fluffy kind that is for interior, they also do one for exterior which is heat proof (to an extent) and waterproof.

@@PROJECT5AXO yeah I guessed it would be, I did try looking through the Tesa catalog online but you need a degree in tape engineering to know which one is the right one 😂
