Hello from Orlando Florida 😊 This looks like a delicious breakfast, toasted and buttered...yum! I think it would be fun to experiment with different legumes, navy beans, black eyed peas, garbanzos...I would try whole grain flour to make it healthier (but I am also wondering how it would be with cheese baked in to make it less healthy)

I'm trying to work out if they were sweet peas or field peas. Sweet are easier to find here, but field would be more suited to bread. By the colour, I think they're field peas. Pressure-cooked or steamed split peas might do the job.

They're more commonly eaten in Europe. If your peas aren't sweet when cooked, I think they're field peas. Sorry, those are the only English names I know. :( What are they called in Turkish? (Enriched bread just means it contains more than flour, water, yeast, and salt. Breads with only the four ingredients are lean breads. I, er, read cookbooks for fun.)

Una de las pocas cosas baratas en Argentina. Acabo de hacer una receta turca con garbanzos y berenjenas sencilla y muy rica. Por eso me gustan las recetas turcas

Aparte salteas un poco 3 cebollas y 6 dientes de ajo, le agregas 1 vaso y medio de garbanzos hervidos 40 minutos (yo use los de lata) agua y extracto de tomate, 1 cucharadita de sal, una de azúcar y tomillo. Lo pones en horno 180 grados por 15 a 20 minutos.

Greetings from Chicago, Illinois, USA! This recipe is packed with protien which is good for building bone and muscle. There is no added sugar so it would also be good for people like me who are diabetic. I believe I might try substituting one of the three cups of wheat flour with almond flour for added protien. I learned recently that if you use almond flour you need to cut back on added oil because almond flour actually has oil in it from the almonds. Therefore, I intend to cut the olive oil by 1/3. I'll let you know in a later post how this works out. Thank you for sharing this recipe. It truly looks delicious and is very nutritious. PEACE
