I'm glad it still works if it does! lol, I got a quest but I honestly haven't had much time to mess with VR for a while now. This is still easily one of my favorites apps though! There's really nothing like it. New Retro Arcade comes close, but it hasn't been updated in years
Dude, thank you, the instructions were pretty unclear from EMUVR...I didn't know a retroarch folder already existed within emuvr...saved me a big headache, thanks
Yeah, I think the developer of this is thinking of adding in arcade cabinets at some point. In the meantime, New Retro Arcade can fill that void, but it doesn't feel as polished as EmuVR does and hasn't been updated in forever. Also, if you're on an Oculus Rift, you can spawn arcade machines in there and attach windows from your PC to the machines so its LIKE you're on an arcade cabinet, but it's also not as good as EmuVR or NRA
If you go to emuvr.net, you can register for the beta using an email and I think that includes a link to the official discord server. Once you're there, theres a quick rules section to look through and a download channel on the side. The community there is super helpful and the developer helps out all the time too!
Hmmm, I've done everything and I have three consoles in the room. The NES and SNES work fine, but the PS1 doesn't. The DOOM disc appears inside the console but when I turn it on the machine never starts; it's just a blank screen. I have the correct cores as far as I'm aware, and I've done all the Game Scanner stuff, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Any ideas? Edit: I just downloaded every single PS1 core on a long list rather than only the ones I though I needed and it worked. :) Now I just have to figure out how to customise the controls. . .
Glad you got it working! If you press F1 while playing a game, it pulls up the Retroarch menu and you could try customizing the controls in there? I'm not sure if it saves them or not though
@@inceptional I already have the necessary cores, beetle and all the others. I actually just fixed it so I guess it doesn't matter anyway :P thanks for the help though
If you go to www.emuvr.net/beta , you send an email to that account, they give you a link to the discord channel, and the download is available in there, along with updates, support, etc
At the time that I made this, I don't think I had actually tried customizing too much in the room. That does remind me that I definitely do need to do a newer video showcasing some of that stuff. Thanks for the feedback!
@@arcadedude1987 great because it was very useful and interesting. It just teased us into wanting more. Lol. Once I have all the details then I'll definitely get it for my vive. Great video just left us needing more.

It's hard to know what's going wrong without being able to see it. I'm going to try to film another tutorial now. If you added the game properly, there is an in-game menu you can pull up to spawn whatever you have in your library
That's actually a new one for me that's happening now as well. I just made an updated tutorial but couldn't get the NES or its roms to appear. I'm going to look into that for a fix. Thanks for pointing this out!
Yeah, I know what you mean, but I think the hoops are worth going through, especially since you can use your own rom library. The Sega Genesis collection thing on steam added a VR bedroom environment that's pretty neat, but you can't interact with as much stuff or customize things
I know this vid is a few years old, but it really helped me out! Thanks, man.

...I want this.... One with arcade and cocktail machines would be a great as well. Having a virtual arcade would be awesome.

Hey great video btw, im not sure where to get roms for the game though.
When I play in Vr the consoles will start for a second but then just turn off.
But when I’m in pc mode it works normally.
Same, it does not work.

You could have done a more comprehensive Video. From start to finish.
Rom locations. Room setup. Decorating your room.

how to download PS1 bios
EmuVR would reach a lot more people if you could just click install. I'm not going through all this BS.

cool kind of nostalgic yet a bit dumb even in vr better options avail
