This ride has been operational at Busch Gardens for a looooong time. I'm 58 now and I was a little kid when I rode it the first time. They have always had people posted at different parts of the ride (as seen in the video) I was terrified to ride it, but my older brothers shamed me into going. At the point where where the log is stopped (woman in video) there was a teenager when I rode it. He looked at me after stopping the log and said, "Are you scared?" I nodded. "You want to get out?" I nodded again and he pulled the lever to drop the log. In my memory, it was a HUGE drop. I can see now, it was actually very gentle.
That’s awesome to hear about that I’ve only been to Williamsburg twice in my life and both times I’ve done this once and was very impressed by it. Probably one of my favorites I’ve ever done. I also love the buzzsaws on the thematic feel to it. But that’s also a fascinating story. Glad you enjoyed the video too Dillon
