I used this to test out an Arctic Fox hair dye color that is UV reactive. It's not as strong as an actual UV light or black light, but it does show the glow.

It's Violet not Purple... Violet is the color you're seeing since it's light or additive like the screen! And Purple isn't a real spectral color rather a subtractive color when it's mixed by Red and Blue... Purple is also a shade of Violet!
