I am giggling a bit here as we named our daughter completely for Beshalach and her Bat Mitzvah even had some sea related decor and tambourines! Yamaya Shira! Rabbi Bulka z’tl suggested Miriam Shira but we were stiff-necked!

Re Hallel, my teacher ז"ל from Vienna taught me a nifty mnemonic to remember the Full-Hallel days: בבטח: 2 days of Pesach, 2 of Shavuos, 9 on Sukkos/Shmini Atz/Simchas Torah, and 8 for Chanuka.
Thank you Rabbi for am amazing shiur, crammed with insights and details that tie up so many loose ends.

The person interrupting was very rude. Otherwise great lecture.

i thought it was a very bad thing to speak out and question when teaching is being done (like happened half way through this video).. I've seen it said before by other Rabbis that those listening should wait untill after the teaching is completely finished before they ask questions and should never interrupt the teaching to ask a question (unless it is to correct a clear mistake)
but regarding what you say about Hashem saying to not celebrate when the Egyptians were drowning even the sea came in around them.. could the same be said about those innocent people being killed in any war? that we should show respect to them and not be joyous when any even our enemies die in war, as they are all part of Gods creation?

He did point that out that we shouldn’t celebrate the deaths of Palestinians. Minute 33:47 He said it has to be done and it’s unfortunate it came to this and we shouldn’t rejoice.
