And of course, 191 should be easy or else it’s going to be very difficult to attract people to apply for 491.

Hi Karl, I find your videos highly enjoyable. They're packed with information, straightforward, and free from unnecessary complexity and bullshit. Thank you for being so informative. The migration department also pays close attention to your videos. When you highlighted the confusion surrounding 491 Income threshold previously, they responded by removing the income requirement and updating the website. I'm hopeful that your influence won't lead to the introduction of residency requirements this time. 😊😊😊

So, there is no residency requirement for 191 Reginal provisional stream, but it says you have to comply with the conditions of your eligible visa. One of the conditions for 491 says " While you are in Australia, you must live, study and work in an area that is on the list of designated regional areas in an instrument." and other says "If you hold a subclass 491 visa, the area must have been on the list of designated regional areas on the date we granted your visa." So, indirectly it is not a residency requirement? Another question is, Must I have worked in the nominated occupation during 491 period?

Huge delay in processing 191 visa - Reason -s56 request.
    Hi karl
I would like to bring this issue to your attention that after completing all the living and working requirements in regional areas, now the immigration department started asking medical for children who turned more than 2 years of age after grant of 491 visa.
After providing the medical, the department is not considering those files on a priority basis and causing unnecessary delays.
This issue needs to be resolved immediately by the department as the request was only for child medical and if it comes negative, there is not any point of delaying applications for months.
This is very stressful and frustrating situation for those with children as they stuck again because of the medical request by the department. And who knows how long they have to wait for the grant.
Kindly take this into serious consideration. Parents with their kids are in desperate need of their visa grant as they have to plan to buy house and do future planning for their kida which is mostly based on the decision of the department for their visas.
Please look into this matter as this is not huge task for the department to grant visa after the children's medical got clearance. The department must start looking at the files which they put on hold from long time.
    Thank You

Hi Karl, thank you for the explanation for the 191 visa. As per what the home affairs website mentions, we must meet the 491 visa requirements. I wanted some clarity for the 491 visa conditions where it states that one must live study and work in a regional area. There are 2 main questions:
    1. If I applied directly through a NSW RDA and got an invite from the specific region I applied in, am I bound to stay in the nominated region & state (NSW), or I can move to another region in the same state or another state llike VIC or SA without compromising my 491 conditions so as to remain eligible for the 191.
    2. If I am able to live and study (for kids) in the nominating region but cannot find a job that matches my skill, is it possible to have my job in a non regional area where I can commute daily and come back, given I would be living and doing all my expenses in the regional area, just not working there because of lack of opportunities.
Any insight on these would help greatly! Thanks!

I see you have highlighted in different videos that the candidate need not stick to the state of nomination and instead candidate has to be in regional places and it can be any. In canberra ACT website, it is said that you will be notified to DOHA if you move out of Canberra with in 2 years. How do you see this or what impact a candidate has when he / she moves out of ACT with ACT being the 491 nominated state.

We are on a 494 and my daughter is a second year student at ANU Canberra. We live and work in regional Victoria. Is the secondary applicant allowed to study in a regional area in another state?
And second question. My son will go to Uni in 2025 before we can apply for the 191. Deakin uni’s main campus is in Melbourne which is obviously not regional, but the 2 campuses in Geelong and Warrnambool are in regional areas. Are the 2 campuses considered regional because of the area or not because they are part of the main campus in Melbourne? Hope my questions make sense.

So, my situation is like, I work in a company whose head office is in Brisbane & salary comes from Brisbane branch - which is not considered as a regional area. DOHA certainly won’t issue big rounds like last time with 35000, and instead might want to wait out visa processing before issuing any invitations. Even then, those 189 are very likely going to pivot towards healthcare and teaching occupations. I hope I am wrong but only time can tell.

    • @JanK0818
      @JanK0818 Год назад

@@estellebright2579 35000 invitations at once might be the most ridiculous move in the history of Australian migration. Instead, they should have spread those invitations to the entire financial year. By doing this, they could have had less backlog issues and more control.
As for giving priority to healthcare and teaching occupations, I don’t quite understand it. In the last financial year, those occupationsgot thousands of invitations through 189,190 and 491. Their shortage in Australia is undeniable but considering recently retiring baby boomers in all other occupations, and the need of making Australia a competitive country in the fields of digitalisation, energy, sustainability, net zero etc., Australia needs also talented engineers, IT people, tradeworkers, marketing/salespersons too. If these occupations are to ignore in the eyes of Australia, then Australia should rather update its skilled occupations list and take out all occupations except healthcare and teaching!

Also Karl any idea as to why some people who lodged in March (like me) have been skipped whilst others who lodged end of June got grants?
I mean I know every case is different but there's no way to request an update about one's own application?🤔

Just wanted to clarify since me and my wife and son gone home to our home country for > 6 months after covid and I had to resign from work in that span of time. Do we have to wait until we’ve actually worked in the regional area for 3 years or just holding 491 for 3 years count? Thanks heaps and good luck everyone!

Huge delay in processing 191 visa - Reason -s56 request.
    Hi
Please make a Video on it🙏
