    The song was done by Rod Stewart first in 1998 for a movie/film, "Patch Adams" The Russell Watson re-did it for Star Trek: Enterprise in 2001.

    'Faith of the Heart' was performed by Rod Stewart for the movie Patch Adams.
    Russ Watson performed the renamed version of the song 'Where My Heart Will Take Me', and that song was the theme song for the TV show Star Trek Enterprise.
    If you look at the top of the video just below 'likes' and 'dislikes' it lists the artist as Russell Watson and just below that it lists the Title of the Song as 'Where my heart will take me (theme from Enterprise)'

    its the time for me to realize that i once had a man that did love me for everything i was and believed me everyday and didnt judge me for who i was. i lost my best friend due to my mental illness and the stupid things that i did. i hope someday he will read this and realize how very sorry i am for not seeing this then. sam ramsey i will always have faith of the heart.

    @pete2071 No. The song has been written by diane warren, performed in origin by rod stewart. The song has been than remade by russel watson wich changed the title into where my heart will take me. In this video should be where my heart will take my, by russel watson.

    That would be Rod Stewart...not Ron.
    I agree, this version is Russell Watson though.
    Both versions are great!!

    @pete2071 IT WAS ORIGINAALLY SUNG BY ROD STEWART IN A MOVIE CALLED PATCH ADAMS...STAR TREK USED AS THE INTRO TO ENTERPRISE...WHICH IS SUNG BY RUSSELL WATSON.

    lancerooke I know the conversation took place about a year ago, but I was reading both parts and your theory that the Enterprise theme song ruined Star Trek based on branding errors has huge flaws. 1) People who already watch the show know what the show is about so the theme song will not confuse them. 2) People who watch the show from the beginning will see an entire scene play out before the theme plays so they will also know what the show is about. 3) The theme is over within seconds, while most of the hour long program is full of either commercials or actual programming. So the odds of someone channel surfing while Enterprise is on and just catching the few seconds of theme music time is very rare. 4) People channel surf on multiple occasions and the odds of the same people always being on that channel only during the few seconds of the Enterprise theme is practically none existent. You based a theory that an entire franchise was ruined by what amounts to a very small population if anyone at all.

    A little over dramatic?
    If someone refused to watch the Enterprise series because of their 30 second introduction song....then that person is an idiot.
    Call me crazy....but I have always cared about the quality of the episodes in any show I watch. I usually don't even pay attention to the 30 second introduction.

  • @lancerooke
    @lancerooke 11 лет назад

    It's not overdramatic in the least. The series was generally very good. The problem is that with this improper branding a lot of people don't know what they're looking at. People flip through channels. The ones who are inclined to stop at Star Trek when they see the familiar images and sounds don't stop for a Rod Stewart song. The branding error may seem trivial but it's not. It's a serious problem. Trust me on this. My degrees are in social science and psychology. I know what I'm talking about.

      You don't think people encoded Faith of the Heart with Star Trek pretty quickly? Hell, I've never associated the song with anything else.

    I might have thought this was a good song, if I hadn't heard over a hundred times watching Star Trek Enterprise. The song didn't ruin the show for me because I can skip forward on Netflix, but the show defiantly ruined that song.
