Ok back after watching a couple of the shinwha performances and the bts performance and gotta say got7's is my favorite. Yoogyeom's dance embellishments were great, I loved how much fun Jackson sang (I love his husky voice - he should sing more), and main vocal (omg sorry blanking on name) totally killed it. And damn, bam bam got really manly looking since the last time I saw him and his ending pose gives me life. Bts didn't own the song as well as got7 did - they sang it back in 2013 and they were too young at that time to convincingly cover this song. Shinwha was great obviously but Kpop is my fantasy escape world where I want to drool over hot young guys that I can't drool over irl so I can't get into shinwha.
both got7 and bts did amazing jobs for this song, but yes got7 captured the concept better imo.. it was so much more vogue and fabulous lol yugyeom youngjae and bambam seemed really into it (and last year bts did a really good cover of "perfect man," another shinhwa song, which i really recommend watching if you havent already :) )

I don't think they are underrated! GOT7 is a rare group that has very equivalent and multiple talents among members. Each of them has their own strengths in comparison with other members and GOT7 made use of these strengths very well!
This still remains as one of the best covers ever done in kpop, and no this is not me being biased. The attitude, the vocals, the choreography; they all fully embodied it. Ugh, so good.
They did not fully embody it. They were trying too hard to not seem feminine which in turn is countering the moves. Shinhwa didn’t care about their musculinity and moved sensually which made them more musculine somehow. This was NOT it !!!

I am so happy I found this post. I couldn't stop laughing at BamBam's pose. The whole choreography was really sensual and so dramatic. I really enjoyed it lol!
they were doing the choreography that shinhwa did. i think they did a great job doing a legendary kpop boy band song and doing the choreography very well.
I really think they should've swapped Bambam and Jackson's part. I feel like Jackson would've done Eric's rap really well and Bambam the "like satellites" part. But overall, a great cover. It's difficult to cover Shinhwa, lots of pressure, but they did well.
+Signe Clemente he doesn't have the vocal power to the most of the singing parts. Most of the song is singing not rapping, so he wasn't able to get many lines.
JC OK but OP still makes all kinds of sense..at least to me. I admit even as a Bambam stan that he can't sing, but there's backing tracks for that. I simply adore how fierce his leuks were and they fit the original Shinhwa concept (aka "Be as Sickening as you can be") the best. (Whatever they do, though, GOT7 really is amazing.)

How sassy bambam was, how youngjae reminded everyone he was a powerful main vocal, how yugyeom and jinyoung’s bodyrolls could kill us, mark showing us his main rapper title here, and jacksons aura and voice that goes with any song he sings. I’M EXPECTING ANOTHER VERSION WITH JB IN IT.
Okay GOT7 was the second kpop group I got into (after BigBang) and they hold a very special place in my heart, but in the future I really hope JYP considers giving them a concept similar to this, like something with more of a sophisticated chic look, because it really fits the members well. Although I love and will always support their songs, sometimes I feel like their comebacks don't match all of them that well. Like they still kill it, but I don't think all the members get to showcase their talent as well as they could and that's not GOT7's fault, I just wish JYP entertainment saw that more. BECAUSE LOOK AT THESE BEAUTIES HERE. Honesly still one of my favorite (if not favorite) performance of theirs.

I don't think they are underrated! GOT7 is a rare group that has very equivalent and multiple talents among members. Each of them has their own strengths in comparison with other members and GOT7 made use of these strengths very well!
This still remains as one of the best covers ever done in kpop, and no this is not me being biased. The attitude, the vocals, the choreography; they all fully embodied it. Ugh, so good.
They did not fully embody it. They were trying too hard to not seem feminine which in turn is countering the moves. Shinhwa didn’t care about their musculinity and moved sensually which made them more musculine somehow. This was NOT it !!!

JC OK but OP still makes all kinds of sense..at least to me. I admit even as a Bambam stan that he can't sing, but there's backing tracks for that. I simply adore how fierce his leuks were and they fit the original Shinhwa concept (aka "Be as Sickening as you can be") the best. (Whatever they do, though, GOT7 really is amazing.)

Okay GOT7 was the second kpop group I got into (after BigBang) and they hold a very special place in my heart, but in the future I really hope JYP considers giving them a concept similar to this, like something with more of a sophisticated chic look, because it really fits the members well. Although I love and will always support their songs, sometimes I feel like their comebacks don't match all of them that well. Like they still kill it, but I don't think all the members get to showcase their talent as well as they could and that's not GOT7's fault, I just wish JYP entertainment saw that more. BECAUSE LOOK AT THESE BEAUTIES HERE. Honesly still one of my favorite (if not favorite) performance of theirs.
