Great video with a clear explanation. I have a 2018 F54 Mini Cooper Clubman D. I bought second hand a MFS with cruise control buttons (obiously my old one doesn't have them). I haven't decommissioned my old steering wheel yet. I am wondering whether the wiring is available. If so I only have to install the buttons, connect the wires and code it. Coding with e-sys seems to be quite vague. I cannot fin any instruction video's how to get the application on my machine. Any help or tips on that side?
Well can't help you much with that because I have installed it more then 3 years ago. What I can tell you is that I have version Esys 3.30 with launcher version 2.8.1 and PSdZdata 4.29.22, that's what I managed to get working
@@SA-Performance How would wiring be related to having 6NE work? There is just one data line from the switches to the BDC, if that wouldn't be there cruise and radio control wouldn't work. 6NE is mainly a head unit configuration, you might need an FSC code for it depending on the head unit.
Do you know if i can use f55 multifunction steering wheel on a r57 lci? They will need different airbags but i don't know if it is possible to code it.
F-series steering wheels have a single LIN-bus to the steering wheel, R-series (both R50 and R56) have a K-line for radio control and a separate wire for cruise control. So you can swap R50 and R56 steering wheels, but not F56 steering wheels.

Where did you learn how to do the coding? That’s something I’m interested in learning, thanks!
Hi there thanks for posting this I'm thinking of doing this to my r60 would the codes be the same or do you know where I can find the codes
R60 is an older car, equivalent to E chassis BMWs, so you can't code it with esys
Code also 6NE for the rest of the Buttons to work
Tried it, couldn't get it to work. I did get phone menu but it would just start to load and then get stuck
@@mattwillow7did you check wiring?
@@SA-Performance nope, didn't want to spend too much time on it, car was sold

Did anyone manage to find what code was required to get the rest of the buttons to work (249 / 544 provides the multi function + cruise) ?
Missing information from Matt's video is - you need to code the HU_ENTRYNAV. It's this ECU that handles the steering wheel navigation / phone buttons.
Do you know if this works on the f60 Countryman from january 2018?
Should be the same for all F-series Minis, but can't confirm

Don't really know since I only work on f series cars, in any case you can't code it with E-sys.

This is basically the same coding procedure as the F48 yes?
Yup, should be the same
Can I code with carly obd2 ?
Sorey, don't know, never worked with carly
I tried Carly on a 2007 r56, and there are very limited coding available in the app, can change stuff like welcome lights etc
