Strangers (1978) Series 1 Ep 4 "Accidental Death" TV Crime Thriller (Dennis Blanch, Frances Tomelty)

Linda goes undercover as a journalist on a local paper whilst Willis is posing as an assistant at the coroner’s office. It seems that the death of a prominent local journo in a supposed car accident may have suspicious overtones.
It quickly becomes obvious to both Doran and Willis that his death was no accident and that the coroner himself may be involved.Another good villainous role for Doctor Who’s William Russell as the coroner who was being blackmailed by Smith the journalist.
Don Henderson’s Bulman isn’t in this episode, a passing remark by Willis letting us know that the enigmatic be-gloved Bulman is supposedly on leave suffering depression.
First broadcast Monday 26th June 1978.
