I want to address my question in a respectfull manner, if I might have misunderstood. He said that earth was created in the first 2 days, correct? And if we divide 13.8 billion by 6 equal pieces we get 2.3 billion. Now 2.3 bill+2.3 bill=4.6 billion, correct? But the science he appeals to claims that the earth was created 4.6 billion years ago, not the first 4.6 billion years of the universe. Correct me if I misunderstood.
Yes you have misunderstood. He was referring to some Quranic verses where one verse states that the entire universe (heaves and the earth) was created in 6 days (stages) and a different verse states that within the 6 days creation earth is created in 2 days (stages). The math works out as 2.3 billion years for each day. So, 2.3 x 6 = 13.8 billion years and 2.3 x 2 = 4.6 billion years. The Quran does not say earth was created first, it says the heavens were created first.
We believe in Jesus as well my friend, there is only a minor difference in our theologies, we believe he is the messenger of God, rather than the actual son of God. In fact, if you look at the Quran, there is an entire chapter about Mary the mother of Jesus and the miraculous birth of Jesus (peace and blessing be upon him).
