Its quite possible crack gate in 5 months, but getting a single digit or double digit rank is impossible in 5 months, but yes it is possible to get a decent rank between 500 - 1000, instead of trying to cover the whole syllabus just study 60 - 70% syllabus and be attentive in lecutres, divide your days by hours lets say in my case im from mechanical and im focusing only on XE paper which has subjects FM, Thermo, SOM, Engg Mechanics, maths and aptitude, these subjects carry more weightage.
