I always love how you can tell why a player is choosing to play a certain deck, and one of the most tell tale signs is when one of the essential archetype cards is a royal rare. I have had so many games where my opponent will be on something ridiculous and I’ll just watch them “combo” off and wondering why they are playing it, then they end on royal rare witchcrafter madame verre and I just go “oh now I see why”.

I love being at low ladder. Its so fun to play weird decks like element sabers and I'm trying to make a RDA deck. I purposely stay low cause im not trying to have my soul sucked by the meta.
Honestly the real challenge is took low and mid deck to diamond, amazoness with vernalizer and barrier statue etc.

Fun fact Laplace would have delt 3400 piercing dmg ending the game if he didn't overlay into Machinex. While of course he could have also Zeus-ed the board to place material in the GY and go for Gilga (Orthros/Thomas) to get consistent backrow removal/resources loop

I play auspice in my swordsoul deck, it's surprisingly effective to dodge veiler and imperm, plus going into chengying with him banishes a card and triggers chengying immediately
not a bad card in the slightest, people can sometimes be too blind because something is not meta, but I also see why people dont play him tho
@@nbassasin8092 i think it's just cause of end board, if you have the big boss out( can't spell his name 😅) and the little 8 star one, you can negate a effect and banish, so having them is better than the other momster.

However I like to put him in for any highlander format because SS doesnt have that many maindeck monsters otjerwise
Dodge Impermanence or more board breaker. You can tribute Long Yuan and use Chunjun instead to Synchro summon. Then, you can banish 2 cards from field and 1 from GY.
Exactly, I run two of him he's basically extra copies of Heavenly Dragon Circle cause he allows you to dodge every hand trap that actually threatens the deck. Yes he's technically a brick if you didn't draw multiple tenyis or any Swordsoul name, but realistically the chance of that happening is super fucking rare. Swordsoul is uber consistent and it's worth playing him because he improves the decks ability to go second and break boards and play through disruptions.

i think konami need to follow what clash royale do with random duel replay, first they need to give us option to select what rank does replay will be, and give the list instead of random duel, then only give a list where the match is insane, 200 iq match, some come back match, hearth of the card match, something like that

DiFi is so weird why it allow pend scale and xyz detach like normal while Macro and shifter do not.
Macro and shifter banish all cards sent to the graveyard while DiFi only banishes monsters. XYZ materials are not considered monsters so they will go to grave when detatched

I think if Konami wants the format to have wombo-combo decks, they really need to change the time system. I think maybe offering a 2-5 second extension to the player every time the resolve a card effect would help reduce the time losses that we keep on seeing. Is this a definitive solution? No, but it is an idea.
The way I see it, the time limit should be there to prevent players from griefing, stalling, or causing duels to last way longer than they should, not to nerf combo decks or decks that are otherwise complicated to play.
You're entirely wrong. The time limit used to be longer, but Konami shortened it precisely because combo players were wasting so much of their opponent's time with their absurdly long combo lines that people were scooping left and right (because spectating a ten minute game of solitaire is boring as hell).

Am I the only person that hates cards like Pot of Desires because the costs for two cards drawn aren't worth it in my eyes? A 1 to 5 ratio for cards drawn to cards banished seems like the last thing I'd desire. To the graveyard would be infinitely better.
It depends on the deck. Some decks can't afford to banish cards they have to search during their combo. In some decks, literally every card does the same as the rest so banishing 10 is totally worth it to get more consistency. Think about it this way, is the same as banishing the bottom 10 cards of your deck, you weren't going to draw them anyway this duel. Also not sure what you mean about the graveyard, cards can't be face down there.

But a lot of deck has their graveyard as the second "hand" due to a lot of effects triggered when sent to the grave so that would be too broken of a change. Also you can just treat those banished cards as just simply 10 undrawn cards at the bottom of the deck which makes it a little bit easier to think about. Of course it can banish your wanted cards but if you all run 3 copies of important cards then I don't think Pot of Desires is that bad of a card though
draw 2 and send top ten cards on your deck to the GY sounds crazy
10 cards that might as well be dead cause your deck can't search as much for example is a great place to put it (Any kind of OTK fits this, even #)
