If i can add something that i also have been thinking about, possibly on a different note. You know I have seen a Christian therapist try to teach us to completely ignore the necessities for life. Such as the absolute health, the health of the mind, high IQ, good memory ( Which can be blocked by demons, CPTSD, Octopus in people.... ) She explained it as "We are all different. Let's embrace it, Someone is just smarter. God made them this way" I was super against it. Cause I used to have a bright mind, an ability to study as a kid. Until I started to receive the increasing attacks from the narcissists, and abuse. And I started to lose my IQ, my memory. Have been struggling with it daily for years. Asking God to help me, deliver me I know it's an ultimate nonsense that we should make peace with having bad memory, bad IQ I am not ready to be receiving bad grades in college, be expelled etc because supposedly "God made me less smart" Also... Some Christians don't know that affirmations are not just New Age. They don't know the thoughts and words are tangible in the unseen realm
It's just crazy how many New Agers think if they suffer some oppressions, they are being hated, attacked, then it means something in them lets people do this to them. And seek hypnosis therapy. Later they will often be abused by their therapists cause these people do not even have a degree in Psychology, Psychiatry. I have been there. They didn't make me believe I have chosen to be abused in between lifetimes, on the other side, Etc. Abd the new agers were mad with me and were passive aggressive with me
How about Christian Psychotherapy? If God is at the center , is it safe to say it’s leading us into the right direction? Or what should one watch out for?
I have looked into Christian Psychotherapy. I find this journey to be as difficult as finding a normal church for yourself to be visiting or a normal podcast... Because you can hear a lot of nonsense from many Christians.. :( For example, if you started to suffer from psychological, psychiatric and physical diseases, then it means God made you that way. They don't care if it stops you from leading a normal life. They will say it's your greed and ungodliness. They will say having diseases is aligned with achieving God's glory in your life. Or any other nonsense....
They are simply an extension of the protestant movement with some extra truths unfolded such as a return to the true 7th day Sabbath/Saturday which will become an issue just before Jesus returns, and the true state of the dead which is that they are sleeping awaiting the resurrection
