    This is extremely helpful as a waitlist student for my local rad tech program. Looking at how IR procedures work in depth is the closest best thing I have for IR shadowing, thank you so much for this channel

    Can the liver TACE procedure cause blood in stool or typhoid fever?

    • @IRADGraphics
      @IRADGraphics  11 месяцев назад

      A TACE procedure should not lead to GI bleeding as it specifically targets the liver tumor's embolization, not affecting the gastrointestinal tract directly. It also wouldn't cause typhoid fever. However, it's common for patients to experience general symptoms like fever, fatigue, and loss of appetite, known collectively as post-embolization syndrome.

    Hello, my father is diagosed with Liver Tumour and we are advised for Liver Transplant. His Alphafetoprotein is 1165.
    We have started the Homeopathic Treatment. Its been 12 weeks and he has got litlle better.
    Do you think that alternate medicine is effective in this case or this may be time wasting?

      I can not make any comment on alternate treatment, as I have not seen evidence. But, there are multiple studies done on locoregional therapies from intraarterial therapies to systemic therapies including immunotherapies. You father need to see a medical oncologist. the treatment option depends on the underlying liver disease and also stage of liver cancer

      Post-transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (cTACE) symptoms such as fever and fatigue, lasting up to 8 weeks, are a common and expected outcome. These symptoms primarily arise from the body's reaction to chemicals released by the disintegration of tumor cells and the effects of the chemotherapy itself. This response is part of the body's natural process in dealing with the treatment's aftermath and the breakdown of tumor cells.

    My father was done 1st DEB tace on 03/07/24. He is suffering from fever, abdomen pain and weakness. Please tell me what can I do.
    I am also confused about the benefits of DEB TACE. Is it beneficial or not for 4th stage liver cancer. Please tell me

      The symptoms you father was going through is called post embolic syndrome, and for sure expected due the release to tumor contents. Steroid and aggressive hydration are the treatments
