So simple... so good.... this can easily transform lives 4 the better....this one can def have a shot at fooling omnis on... and THAT is what I am seeking... a darn near perfect dupe! The only thing I did differently was I put on some BBQ sauces atop them while baking and added some more on the pan grill, adding olive oil at this time 2 make them more authentically fatty/greasy. Hi Connie. Tried your rib recipe yesterday and it was great. It was surprisingly easy to make. Thanks for the recipe. Also, made your mortadella sausage a couple of days ago and used garlic/jalapeno stuffed olives in place of regular olives and it turned out great also. Made 2 batches, one for the freezer and one for snacking. Finally, I experimented with seitan chicken by making a basic seitan chicken then cutting into slices/patties and wrapping them in spring roll wrappers which I soaked in a chicken flavored marinade for a "skin" (didn't have any Yuba sheets). This gave us the "crunchy" texture that we were looking for. I think that I'll double up on the "skins", next time, to give us more of a crunchy texture. Thanks for all of your ideas and recipes.

yes u can if you really want :) then u add the extra ingredient :D but u might have to make it a little firmer by adding some flour back or something that will bulk it up. After you wash the starch out ur left with a very wet gluten check some of from scratch recipes and u will see what I mean
You don't have to play and push and keep touching this jackfruit so much,scoring it once is enough.If you knead seitan to long like you do it can be tough also.Dont take me wrong I use your recipes but with less kneading and I wear disposable gloves and taste w a spoon & not my fingers.You also use your fingers to take seasoning out of your measuring spoons and lick your fingers and smack your lips.My mother is full Italian also & we were taught proper manners in the kitchen.You are online and you need to quit licking your fingers🙋🏻

hey there :D Jaqcfruit is used more for the texture it seems to separate the gluten fibers so you get more of that breakaway tender meat. When it's green there really isn't that much taste like a ripe jack. that taste yummy!!! But it's like a very tender artichoke fiber not sure if I made myself clear, hope I did

Here in the Philippines we used unripe jackfruit as a chicken substitute. Makes for great fried chicken.

I was thinking instead of adding water, i would try apple juice. Maybe also some liquid smoke.

I get my jackfruit off the tree so not sure exactly what amount is in a can. It looked like about 1-1/2 cups? I guess I’ll just have to experiment. Looks good though

yes I did remove them :) But jackfruit in jards ( the green jackfruit ) doesn't always have the stones in it. But if it does remove them xox
