The second generation of Arora/Khatri population until today can't even speak Hindi properly, and how come our grandparents came under the influence of baamans and voted for Hindi. I remember many census and I use to put Punjabi as mother tongue and even write "Punjabi" in religion section. We live in Haryana, and we don't have a cultural match with the local population here. They cut our roots and displaced us and then forced us to speak hindi in the weakest time of our history. Es layi baamana te bharossa ni karna chahida. I request all Arora/Khatri population to keep registering themselves as Punjabi speaking when the next census happens and also make third generation understand the importance of it. Make them learn Gurmukhi. Otherwise, we would lose many dialects of Punjabi, and they will obsolete.

But people like Lala Jagat Narian were the biggest culprit in creating wedges between the communities, as Jagat Narian used every step to create communal poison between the Muslims and Hindus before 1947 and again before 1978 in Punjab between the Hindu and the Sikhs . His newspaper use to be in old Layalpur and then in Jalandhar.I must add the some prominent present Punjabi Hindu are doing great goodwill such as Dr Piyare Lal Garg , Kanupriya the ex Punjab University president and Mr Lakhi the Tv Anchor.

The second generation of Arora/Khatri population until today can't even speak Hindi properly, and how come our grandparents came under the influence of baamans and voted for Hindi. I remember many census and I use to put Punjabi as mother tongue and even write "Punjabi" in religion section. We live in Haryana, and we don't have a cultural match with the local population here. They cut our roots and displaced us and then forced us to speak hindi in the weakest time of our history. Es layi baamana te bharossa ni karna chahida. I request all Arora/Khatri population to keep registering themselves as Punjabi speaking when the next census happens and also make third generation understand the importance of it. Make them learn Gurmukhi. Otherwise, we would lose many dialects of Punjabi, and they will obsolete.
