Frenzied Gouging and Calamity Storm are gonna go CRAZY on Roaring Moon. Frenzied Gouging is like Self Destruct but more effective AND survivable. And Calamity Storm is gonna be a MEAN punishment against any of your opponents' stadiums.
200 damage for potentially 3 prize cards guaranteed is definitely worth it. He's gonna be nuts

Paradox mons are the UBs of SV era. When UBs ruled SM, it went great. It might done the same here
Considering that they’re split into “Ancient” and “Future” sub-classes, my first thought was that it would be similar to single/rapid strike cards. Maybe they’ll make past/future trainers and energies?

im super new to picking up the card game for anything other than buying the occasional pack or grabbing a pre constructed deck. Im so excited for Paradox pokemon especially Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant, and Ace Spec (almost sounds like my username) sounds cool. As always, Worlds is hype!
Glad you're enjoying it. This set looks to be a healthy combination of chase cards and very competitive decks both standard and expanded formats.

2. Iron bundle and roaring moon are almost certainly going to be meta cards
The trailer is so well made with the music, soun effects, visuals and past and future aesthetics that it made me really hyped and I don't even play tcg 😂

Holy carp Ace Specs are coming back?? Yo that's hype! I haven't seen those cards since the Black/White TCG era and even so, some of them are specifically for cards like Team Plasma's Genesect-EX. It'll be fair to assume I'll like the new ones, but it'll be great to see the old ones come back too!

Awesome looking cards! Like how the Paradox Pokemon cards have Pokemon from both past and future. Next year's cards sound promising by the cool teaser card at the end.
So excited for the Paradox Pokémon are coming to the TCG even though we got Great Tusk and Iron Treads in the first Scarlet & Violet expansion! I'm also excited for ACE SPEC cards to return ever since the Black & White series!
Some trainers believe it's because only Tusk and Treads can be found outside of area Zero.

Roaring Moon just basically saying "you're KO'd" without really much else to it is, absolutely crazy LMAO.
This is even excluding the fact that, there could be potentially items that lowers that damage OR increases its HP pool to maybe survive a hit.
The worst part with that too is like, if your opponent has a poor bench set after getting Ko'd by Roaring moon, it's basically free to go for another KO ezpz.

Protection Cube and Roaring Moon would probably be overpowered in Extended formats
It's open to medicham V. Dark decks already hit psychic Gardy and mew for weakness so this could be in Darkrai decks for other matchups.

The energy cost is steep. And you're almost guaranteed to give up two prices afterwards. We're gonna see if decks can make space for it and if it's worth it.
There's also cards to prevent effects of attacks. This concept is usually seen with yveltal cards

Ace spec coming back I remember black and white and ace spec and team plasma cards were my favorite cards to pull
Roaring Moon has a lot of potential for a free knock out and that scares me
especially if there's an ace spec card coming down the line that could mitigate the damage it takes for doing it.

@betarunner4536 omg if they bring scoop up net back to standard for roaring moon, that's going to be wild lol. Switch makes sense and it's not tera so it could still get KO'd on the bench. It's not entirely busted but there could be workarounds. This is going to be fun. I might start playing PTCG Live a lot more now since most of my other friends play other card games.

Im kind of surprised they havent considered doing puzzle cards on the back of the code card. It would make those cards be more collectible and useful for pcg collectors. Could make them 4x4 or even larger, a large puzzle would look pretty sick framed.
