I really really like it. I agree about the meca quartz sentiment. The price is amazing and good on Kevin for keeping the innovation coming in so many different forms aside from simply design.
Congratulations on the first gifted watch! The photography and music keep improving with each video, and the watch selections are all interesting, so hopefully it's the first of many. I agree about the VH31 on this one, although that case profile as-is is really nice so I can see the problem. It is possible they added the detailed outer track so you can do somewhat precise timing using the minute hand alone (i.e. a sub-minute track rather than sub-second track). The thin lume on the minute hand could also help with this as it points the minute hand very precisely. Also, I think the date window looks good in that location because it partially mirrors the circular logo in both size and position. Looks like the AR is blue (?), I think clear AR would be another upgrade (might look good with that light blue colorway though!)
Wow, so many points! First off al I am thrilled my work is noticed and my promise is to keep trying to continue in the same fashion! One thing you and all the other friends of the channel can count on is a plethora of new great watches making appearances. I thought about that use for the subdivisions, and a seconds hand would have only been an added benefit to such a characteristic. Good catch on the symmetry of the crest and the date window! AR coating is blue, indeed and I guess it’s only down to trying to keep the costs down. It actually might really work with the blue dialled variants. Once again, thank you for the feedback and for contributing to the discussion I am trying to build this community on!
Although it's not a watch for me as I already have the Timefactors Smiths Trans-global which is also a homage to the Polerouter, It was a very well executed review and video.
The “paid promotion” subtitle appeared on the screen at the begging of the video and I made it clear towards its end that I received it as a gift. Would not say I promoted it though- I reviewed it fairly.
Thank you for providing historical knowledge. I seen on another channel thus is also offered in his and hers version. Id get that if i had anyone to get it for 😂😂😂
Yeah, I mentioned it too that you can buy it in 36. In my opinion, "hers" is a marketing mistake, as there are many watch buyers with skinny wrists that might take offence if you know what I mean.
@@themicrobrandexpert yeah i understand, sometimes i forget that bc my wrist is like 18cm.. Thats a really nice watch. Ive been thinking of adding a certina heritage or an alpinist spb197, once i get a job, do you know those?
The Alpinist is one of the few Seiko watches I don’t consider overpriced, while I’m a fan of Certina. Not sure about the mentioned model, though - is it the DS2?
@@themicrobrandexpert its the ds1 C0298071103102 I had it on my wrist and loved it. I have to chill with purchases so it would be one of these abt the same price here from ad. On the other hand with the alpinist my seiko collection will be complete, for me..
What a beautiful watch in what may be your best installment. The historical perspective you gave was well done sir.
Thank you so much, Fred! I really hope each video I make betters the previous, even by 1%!

This one came totally out of the blue. It might just turn out to be his bestseller.

Thank you, Darren!
Do you have a financial incentive to promote the watch?

It's fantastic 😍
Glad you like it! Today’s the day!
Bad link. Searching the site did not bring up the Universal.
Thank you for pointing it out!
Should be fixed now.

is it my imagination or is that a white hair going around on the minute hand at 36 seconds?
Yeah, that’s the risk of shooting macro and having an old beard…
I'll stick with the Smiths Trans-Global Polerouter.
That’s a fantastic watch, I agree. Different league, different price.
Cheap as chips!
Agreed!
