I second this! Tbh Memories was kind of lukewarm for me, it works and it doesn't offend my ears in any way but it's also not too special. Talk saxy still has me going around and singing that bridge. And the there is latest one that might be their weakest, to the point it actually worried me for their future releases. I had to make my point somewhere under this video, so it's gonna be here. I also honestly liked many of the Boynextdoor songs. And I very much enjoy many boy groups from 2nd and 3rd gen, and I value vocalists above all else. I just think the way vocals in Boynextdoor songs are delivered in the right way, even if they genuinely might be annoying, they still play around that annoyingness. I'm not saying that Boynextdoor has my favorite songs of the year, but I can't and won't say that I hate Serenade or One and only when I just don't. And on another hand, I don't see how these two groups are trying to be New Jeans. Musically they to my ears have literally nothing in common. Riize uses regular SM musical approach that sounds very much NCT+others, and Boynextdoor as I said goes around the "annoying" whiny vocals. I don't usually watch almost any music videos, so I can't visually compare them, but to me musical concept is what is most important anyway, you chart with a song, not a video.

I agree with every group/soloist on this list minus Jihyo. Jihyo really isn't that bad to begin with because the most of the songs weren't terrible. I really enjoyed Wishing On You and Room. 3 of the tracks like Killing Me Good, Don't Wanna Go Back and Closer are mid but not bad and the rest is bad so it's really not that bad to me.
