Hey Kam, Glad to see the new video, but more so, glad you passed on the boat. They're fun and a blast but I'd rather see you put the money away, you might decide to get another truck later. I'm retired now Kam but I've played with hot rods and boats, I learned the hard way that there's so much expense that goes into those toys, trust me, get to where you want to be in the trucking world first, then decide what you'll do to spend your play time. I'm subscribed to your channel and get a big kick watching you work. You have every bit of the attitude I had back in the day. I drove 35 years and a big part of that was as an owner/ operator, flats, vans and refers. You take care little brother, you're doing a great job, stay safe.
100% of what’s been on my mind the last 6 months… yeah I can spend money on all these toys… but if I would just reinvest into the business and watch it grow… I can easily afford projects the right way.
Trucker Ray, I drove 37 years , retired and tired. Back in the day one could make money as an o/o or company driver. Those days are gone and there’s no money in it now. That’s my opinion for what’s it’s worth. Remember all good trucking stories start out … this ain’t no shit . Have a great day
Wow, this particular video showing the angle iron and the H channel, I used to work on a steel mill back in Clairton PA in the late 70s where we rolled out that particular kind of steel you have on their angle iron H and tea bar. Amazing to see that someone else has picked up the load or actually manufacture it
Absolutely love your truck brother! It looks amazing, sometimes I wish we had more trucks like yours in South Africa 🇿🇦. I own a trucking company too but in our country we use more European trucks. Keep going no matter what happens! 💪
Just came across your channel for the first time. I enjoyed the content and subscribed as well. I did a few years of flat bedding and for the last 11 years I have been pulling a end dump here in the Dallas metro area. Look forward to more videos!
Man flatbed, open deck in general is king of the road. And watching your vids made me Chuck all my ratchet binders in the can lol. I love the simplicity of snap binders. Keep at it.
First time seeing your videos. Gorgeous truck. But hey be careful. Running a load of I-beams and angels with out a headache rack can be dangerous. A chain or load lock can fail or when you may have to lock up the breaks for an emergency. I saw a truck not sure I'd the driver fell asleep or swerved to miss something. But he went in the ditch and the I-beams slid forward and went through the sleeper and cap. He died unfortunately. So drive safe. Be careful. Keep shinny side up a d rubber down. Keep on truckin driver.
Awesome rig Brother! I always loved hauling a skateboard around. Being able to secure your load and not having to worry about losing it along the way was gratifying. Even more gratifying was tarping your load and getting it almost as tight as shrink wrap. I do have a question. Aren’t glad bed rigs required to have a headache rack, especially if you are hauling steel? Not that it would stop it, but it would at least slow it down if you slammed on the brakes and it came sliding forward. Good luck Brother and keep rolling down the road!👍🏻👍🏻
Love the Pete Man it is Sick! I love those Jet boats and want one but have not run across any good deals on one yet. My friend had a tunnel hull with a BBC with a B&M Blower that would run 90 on glassy water back in the 90's and his buddy met us on the lake with a BBF on Nitrous that would run 110. I love that trailer also. Cool channel.
Hey Kam, I'm glad to see that you didn't buy that boat. Man O' man that thing has seen better days. Take care...keep on trucking. You make flat bedding an easygoing job when in fact it isn't.😎
Hey man, beautiful truck just randomly came across your videos. I seen you a couple times going up the 5 by ridgefield. Did you buy those trailers too? Or just bought your truck and leased on to a company that had the trailers
I think you made a good choice on the boat. You can get one that’s cool, fish from , and pull skiers. Only my opinion on boats.. Love that flatbed though
Just a tip, if you notice something looks wrong n something needs adjusted strap everything down on the passenger side. It will Help keeping you away from passing motorists
Nice video, but I would invest in a headache rack, seen few trucks get ripped apart from sudden stop and the steel move forward and rip the sleeper and cab apart killing the driver. Not a good thing.
How do you like that long trailer and the extra axles? Is it worth it to buy one like that or just a regular 48' FB? I kinda ruled out a step deck or anything that might snag on a railroad track. I'm running SE NE MW and Texas. Been running a rental 48' FB bout 4 months. Any advice appreciated.
What a day beautiful. Working hard moving Iron. Almost buying A jet boat good call. Too many issues top it off with a great burger fries and a cold beer. Can I ask for a better day and made money!!
Like to have a jet pump for my 16 foot boat, yes your doing good. I done a lot of that flatbed, still got my first truck 1978 Astro GMC it wt 16.000 lbs drove it from 1989 to 1992 when CDL started still got it. And got a 1994 Peterbelt 362 cabover, the GMC a cabover to like cabovers. got out of the ARMY started driving the big truck in 1982 so been all over the states still trucking today we’ll be watching you take care see ya next time see ya bye.
Ayeeeeee got emmm!!! Dope you happened to be filming when I honked going by haha, Dude would love to ask you a few questions. You offer like some type of chat or “coaching” been thinking about doing owner op but it’s so scary to make that leap. I know time is money but I know so many of us have so many questions for you that I’m sure you can make some side money if you had time. Lemme know man!
I’d say prepare now to save as much as possible for a truck and I truly believe 6/12/18 months you’ll see a lot on sale! Now is a terrible time to get in we’re all just trying to maintain
@@trucking4racecars yes I do agree with you on that. I’ve only done LTL for a decade now. Don’t know anything about hauling steel or what route is the best to go. Have some buddies at market and at Landstar but they all drive freighters. I’d much prefer to have a Pete and do what you guys do all your companies guys that are owner ops look so sick!
Hey man where is the growl in that wagon? I love to hear those big old pipes growl!! So what do you have mufflers on there?? It's like I really love your truck bro , but it's just two doggone quiet !!
By buddy had a jet boat and he named it the fuc$ing boat because every time ask him hey what are you doing this weekend he'd say working on the fuc$ing boat. He finally sold it.
What is it people have against flat bed trailers? I have a couple friends in the trucking industry that say the “extra work isn’t worth it”. In all reality, it doesn’t look like any more extra work than when I’m towing my Jeep to a rock crawling trail, just on a longer trailer, or you just make it all look easy. Please let me know as I start truck driving school April 8th (leaving the nursing profession) and am honestly considering flat beds as I want to get in with construction companies, heavy hauling or just want the versatility of a flat bad. PS-nice job saving your money on the jet boat. My uncle owned one years ago and it wasn’t worth it.
Hauling steel without a bulkhead flatbed is very dangerous. I understand it's because of the length of the load. I couldn't do it unless I'm cruising on local roads at a low rate of speed.
First time here and loved every second of it..just one thing on safety I wouldn't brake to hard with that chain set up..cross chaining the front would be a safer idea just a peace of mind while driving..I'm not telling you how to do your job just don't want to see another brother out there hurt or worse..I'm a trucker from down under..New Zealand..keep on trucking brother oh yeah just subbed because you deserve it stay safe.
I noticed a couple of violations in the way his load was secured. 1) not enough securement on the load and 2) D.O.T. requires at least 2 chains or straps within the first 4 feet of the load.
You keep pushing your luck with no headache rack dude one day somebody's going to get in front of you you going to have to slam those brakes on and it's going to come straight to the cab
On every video I see I always fail their securement...zero forward movement securement...know headache rack will work but if your load is feet from it...that momentum of the load will run thru the headache rack...
How long is your trailer? It has four axles and it has the appearance of a longer trailer. Smart move not getting that boat. If you get a boat try to select one the way you selected your truck. Boats are high maintenance and a used boat may present too many problems. Selecting new boat will cost more it has a warranty for unforeseen issues.

.... You know what they say, there's only two good days on a boat, "the day you buy it, and the day you sell it.."
U r so right it is an amazing feeling when u buy it ( money pit ) and when u sell ur boat , it like founding out ur diet free.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 guys boating is not for everybody and is boat is your thing enjoy it
Had a '73 Kona back in the 90's. The two happiest days of boating, the day you buy it and the day you sell it. Great video, be safe out there.
Thanks. I'm just starting to learn flat bed. Glad to see some of your tie down ways.
Thanks again.

What a beautiful rig
I don't pull a flat bed but I figured I stay and watch. 🙋♂️
I don't know if you noticed but the forklift driver in the last stop lifted the steel off your flatbed and the chain was hanging from it.
Where did you get the mirrors and watermelons?
Im been subscribed, but what camera are u using..? looks good, or you use fliter through a program...?
iPhone man
The more I see it the more I like that colour.
Dam that burger, jeez😂😂. Im currently new to the flatbed division. Training on Swift Dedicated Flatbed Route. Praying it goes smooth.

U should add ur current mileage on your description? Give an idea of how much you’ve been driving

That truck is cute I like the videos of the truck
Cute? Really that's not really a word that comes to mind with a big rig
How hard is it to become an owner operator with a hood truck?
Quick question what size is your bumper 18 or 20?
18”
Good vid.
Always rain here .. I barely ride my motorcycle
We need another 1hr long video driving & etc
Can't believe you guys are still using those old jaw breaker chain dogs, it's like I'm watching Pakistani Truckers lol
Where's the front head board, and Why do you not choke the chains, That steel will slide forward straight into the bunk
Daaamn bro, I thought u got the boat 😆
I just saw you going south on i5 by Ridgefield WA while watching this video lol
Small world lol
Ever thought about running a RGN trailer?
Yea I just live in a bad area for it…

Not a glider
Those jaw breaker binders are bad man prefer the other style binders
When you use them daily and understand how they react they’re fine… someone with no training…. I agree…. They’re made for a reason. Just a tool
