Kiryu, Haruka, and the other kids are all hiding behind one of the small brick walls surrounding the orphanage grounds, spying on Taichi... Haruka: Why are we doing this to Taichi, again? *Fun fact:* you actually probably saw “Hell gauntlet” in yakuza 0’s cat fight girls minigame . Yes this is actually one of the future heat actions and it’s awesome. *Also you definitely should show the hitman missions fights just saying.* By the way: Thanks, it does make me glad that you find my tips really helpful. I just want others to see all the content worthwhile in my favorite yakuza game. It means a lot. Other facts: Kiwami 2 doesn’t extend or reduce the story of OG 2, it only added the majima story so yeah, it REALLY shows the short length of yakuza 3 to even OG y2 and this is because of yakuza 3’s small development time despite on the drastic improvements to graphics and feel of the game compared to the previous 1st engine yakuza 2 used. The heat action (with a knife at 4+ people) you just got is amazing, you should do it at least once since it is even better than essence of terror in crowd control. It looks and feels amazing, I urge you to see it at least Once.
Yakuza 3: Where even the non-scam substories are scam substories. On an unrelated note, some of your fears about the Amon fight are unfounded. From what I remember, Amon was hard, but he wasn't impossible. I remember him being on par with some of the harder colosseum opponents.

If you don't remember, Hell's Gauntlet is actually the same move the girls from that godawful catfights minigame from Y0 and Kiwami's card bugs minigame were able to use at some times. Those minigames in general foreshadowed some future moves, so that's pretty nice reference.

In the yakuza 3 Wiki, yakuza 3 has 3weeks of planning phase followed by 8 months of development phase in 2009 after kenzan in 2008. Hey Nico I just found out that the director who made *Yakuza Like a Dragon*(7) is the man responsible for karaoke being a thing in Yakuza despite and he also made the majima campaign in Kiwami 2 and more, if your interested in his story with the franchise there is a video titled *the man who changed the yakuza series* that I believe you should watch.
Now imagine what would the main story look like if they decided to turn Kiryu's kids plotlines into substories, like developers originally intended to do, instead of part of the main plot. It would probably feel more like a few hours long boss rush (Ryudo family are causing trouble, beat up Rikiya, Tamashiro family are causing trouble, beat up Tamashiro family, Kanda causes trouble, beat up Kanda, Kanda gets killed, Hamazaki causes trouble, beat up Snake Flower Triad which allied with Hamazaki, Triad takes down Hamazaki family offscreen, etc.) with some breaks for exposition.

I've been catching up on the Yakuza LPs since February and I'm finally up to date! Last time I was this "on time" for new episodes, I was crying over Nico's comment that the Upper Plate in Midgar looked like stars from below.
Really glad to know you're feeling much better now, Nico, hopefully the things will go back to normal after this for you! But in terms of games oh man, there's a lot of good coming out this year and out already, like P5 Strikers, Skyward Sword HD, Neo TWEWY, The Great Ace Attorney 2, FF7R Episode Yuffie, even Tales of Arise, all of these seem like a great LP material, even the last game, which who knows, you might take interest in. Not to mention there's a remake of Nier which you already played. 2021 is very good games wise.

Your love for physics and you fighting the bad guys on here is always entertaining. I wish this game had more detail and better physics, because it would be so entertaining to see you cause chaos. You were also entertaining with the english lady and doing the voices for her and Kiryu speaking english. It would have been cool if that english lady substory wasn't a scam. I also agree that this game has so many bad guys- I tune out when people have good, "manly" souls like Kiryu, because you get use to so many bad guys. The difference voices you do are spot on, and fun to see. I also appreciate the time you put in, because it's not fun doing every little thing in a yakuza game. Yakuza needs more real men like Kiryu, and cool, evil antagonist like Mine.

Hey Nico I just found out that the director who made *Yakuza Like a Dragon*(7) is the man responsible for karaoke being a thing in Yakuza despite and he also made the majima campaign in Kiwami 2 and more, if your interested in his story with the franchise there is a video titled *the man who changed the yakuza series* that I believe you should watch.

The Okinawa Dine and Dash substory was the hardest substory for me lmao. My left analogue stick wasn't working right and it took me many...many tries.
Now imagine what would the main story look like if they decided to turn Kiryu's kids plotlines into substories, like developers originally intended to do, instead of part of the main plot. It would probably feel more like a few hours long boss rush (Ryudo family are causing trouble, beat up Rikiya, Tamashiro family are causing trouble, beat up Tamashiro family, Kanda causes trouble, beat up Kanda, Kanda gets killed, Hamazaki causes trouble, beat up Snake Flower Triad which allied with Hamazaki, Triad takes down Hamazaki family offscreen, etc.) with some breaks for exposition.
Well considering the kids are extremely important to the main plot there is no reason they would be substories
@@craigstarbird6915 I was referring to the fact that initially developers wanted to turn orphans subplots into optional substories, but ultimately they didn't, because, as you said, they were crucial in establishing Kiryu's motivation in the main story. I changed the comment to make it more clear.

But in terms of games oh man, there's a lot of good coming out this year and out already, like P5 Strikers, Skyward Sword HD, Neo TWEWY, The Great Ace Attorney 2, FF7R Episode Yuffie, even Tales of Arise, all of these seem like a great LP material, even the last game, which who knows, you might take interest in. Not to mention there's a remake of Nier which you already played.
2021 is very good games wise.

Your love for physics and you fighting the bad guys on here is always entertaining. I wish this game had more detail and better physics, because it would be so entertaining to see you cause chaos. You were also entertaining with the english lady and doing the voices for her and Kiryu speaking english. It would have been cool if that english lady substory wasn't a scam. I also agree that this game has so many bad guys- I tune out when people have good, "manly" souls like Kiryu, because you get use to so many bad guys. The difference voices you do are spot on, and fun to see. I also appreciate the time you put in, because it's not fun doing every little thing in a yakuza game. Yakuza needs more real men like Kiryu, and cool, evil antagonist like Mine.

I'm... not sure if that was a joke because that's pretty much exactly what happened. If I'm not mistaken, he started out by winning an art contest in one of the early volumes of One Piece (yes those have art contests) when he was just a kid. Now MHA is nearly finished and One Piece is still going. Amazing isn't it?

I think you're right, Nico. Kiwami, 3, and 4 have the shortest main stories in the series. You can probably beat each in less than 15 hours if you ignore the side content.

They basically changed his name a bit......and by bit, they renamed him as "Herlock Sholmes". I don't know if you're sticking with Scarlet Study or going with the official release but I can't wait for your LP of the 2nd game.
