MTV jump-cuts starting to influence commercials in a way that wasn't seen just 2 to 3 years prior 0:30. Commercials reaching a much more modern, sophisticated style then. Prior to this era many commercials had much longer, simpler shots and much less complex musical arrangements of jingles than many of these. Compare the older, simpler style of the Hyundai ad at 4:52 or the almost entirely single-camera Ruffles ad at 7:50 to the Bud Light ad at 5:20. This was an interesting time in advertising. (16:45 MTV ad!)
Budweiser one is great. Coor's Light one is awesome! Chuck Taylor one = that is f%$^in' awesome! Spuds Mackenzie one is awesome! A Foster's one with Paul Hogan! Great one too!
Six Flags Over Georgia must've gotten Z-Force from Magic Mountain because it debut here in 88. I loved that coaster.
Bill S. Preston, Esquire (Alex Winter) in the Ball Park franks commercial! 😄
