Same here. Mostly because if the CF6 has a compressor stall, your toast. Also doesn't handle bird strikes that great and weakest thrust and more inefficient.
Yes, you should better love the RR engines than GE CF6, PW4000 and PWJT9D. These three engines sound like giant refrigerators. The RR engines always have the best sound.
Yep, both use different variants of the Pratt & Whitney PW-4000. Not quite like the pure ear sex that is the RB-211, IAE V2500 or Soloviev D-30 but still sounds fantastic.
Great video, I made sure to like and sub! I flew the route last year and I really enjoyed Delta's service, as well as Amsterdam Schiphol International. I have the videos up, check them out if you get the chance!
Listen to those PW's ROAR!!!!
It sounds like a giant refrigerator.
@mtrujillo1973 The RR on A330's looks like a hairdryer.
@@supa_hot_ice5449 That's because they're Turbofans, not Turbojets.
MrAlcazar LOL
Great video!!! Thank you for posting! Also, amazing capture of the engine sounds.
excellent video mate!
Fantastic takeoff!
Nice video! Its awesome when you are able to sit in front of the wing and see into the engine. What day was this, I may have filmed this takeoff?
Amazing sound!
My two fav engines on A330 the Trent 700 PW400. Awesome sounding engines. I don't like the CF6

What a ROAR! OMG!!!
did u ever get the registration number on this A330-300?
Good video. What seat number?
i think the PW's sound better than the RR's imo
No. RR engines have much better sound. Engines like GE CF6, PW4000 and PWJT9D sounds like giant refrigerators.
It's a close comparison, but there is a certain sound the Trent makes that makes me like it a little better.
the PW4000 sure sounds the most powerful and threatening, but the A330 is a plane that I like all of its engines.
No. CF-6 and PW sounds like giant refrigerators. These engines remind me of my very old GE refrigerator.
+Anonymous96833 Well considering Delta is an American owned airline, then it would make sense to mount American made engines
It’s too bad the airlines can’t boycott Boeing but Airbus can’t satisfy global demand for airplanes alone.
nice sound. too bad the power back wasn't more dramatic :)

They all sound similar so it doesn't matter
Just like their 747 but louder

The A330 is basically the only plane for me where the RR definitely sounds the best.
Yes, I agree with you. Engines like GE CF6, PW4000 and PWJT9D sounds like giant refrigerators.
is this a trent 700
No. It's a Pratt and Whitney PW-4168A.
Great video, I made sure to like and sub! I flew the route last year and I really enjoyed Delta's service, as well as Amsterdam Schiphol International. I have the videos up, check them out if you get the chance!
I like DL a 330s.
