I would love to work with them someday. This song.. this band even has carried me through so much. I've come a long way from were I was but I'm not even close to making it yet.. there's a world of hell to fight before i get out the other side. But this band is really helping me through it. I love the way they say things as they are. No cutting around the words, no masking the raw pain and feelings. This song really really hit me were it hurt. Made me realise things I didn't quite care to focus on

05/05/2018 and it's free comic book day, so i'm wandering all around the berlin seeking comic book stores with my headphones on (i prefer classic stuff) and listening to evanescence and, mostly, icon for hire; preparation for the next day's concert. This specific song was on repeat for a long time from one point and then and now it reminds me Berlin the most from all the others songs of them, maybe because of how much fitting is with the weather that day and most of the days over there: half sunny half cloudy; half happy half sad.
After i finished my comicbook seeking, i went to the entrance of mayor's office and in the guests' book i wrote ''Alex was here, a fan of Icon for Hire''. Next day, besides the awesome show, i got to meet them in person and a dream came true.
They made me took the plane from Crete in Greece all the way to Berlin, they pushed me to do something i normally couldn't, mostly financially but also psychologically and it was hesitating (first time in a foreign country) and for that i am grateful. I can never repay them for what they've done and what they mean for me, but i can, for the rest of my life, say a daily ''thank you and love you''.

dang, I remember when this first came out. It wasn't a good time in my life, and I remember just waking up. Still in my bed, I turned this on and the part where she sings "When you close your eyes, somewhere are you still alive or do you feel like your dead inside? When you close your eyes, somehow does your heart still beat or are you lost like me?" I just broke down. I realized then how much mental and emotional pain I was in, and this song was there to help me realize it. Since then I've gotten better, and I always come back to this song to remind me of the pain I was in and how I got better. I love you, Icon for Hire. You helped me in greater ways than you could imagine
