This has been the greatest trade deal in the history of trade deals, maybe ever.
Great job adapting!
Though I was a little surprised that you're so loosey goosey with your build order 😅
@@xitaris5981 Yeah having someone talk/talking with them while playing was messing up my build more than I expected haha Been a good while since I've been properly backseated
@@xitaris5981 haha thanks, yeah playing while talking with someone was more difficult than I thought and messed up my build a bit too much. Been a good while since I had some proper backseating x)
Fun fact: greatest trade offer and trade ever is the purchase of Alaska in 1867 by USA from Russian Empire for $7.2 million(equivalent to $129 million in 2023).
That's Alaska's weekly turnover. And USA has been benefitting from it since then.
@@KulaGGin In fairness, that one did take a little while to pay off.
Harstem reacting to the phrase "I'm getting creamed" was hilarious 😂
timestamp?

Absolutely fantastic video. Big props on the last game. "Stop laughing, you're fighting for your life right now!" Had me rolling. And the "i didn't say to move into tank range"
"The Colossus can't die!" ... Colossus dies..."I didn't mean it literally you know, you shouldn't have charged with it" Hahaha
That last game was so cool, loved the format too! Gemini played so well for constantly having to banter too hahaha
This is unbelievable in my opinion. Harstem talks 700 wpm and this guy still remembers to do stuff like building batteries etc. Respect Gemini!
this guy sounds like casually explained. freaking love his personality and banter. great content captain
Ahoy, Captain
I really liked this upload, specifically because I liked you talking about nuances and details that help push the 4.9k player closer to 5.9k. I think you have a lot of knowledge from really studying minute details of replays, and hearing distinctions between Rax timings depending on going gas first or Rax first was really cool.
You shiver me timbers every day, Cap'n.
yes more of this please
If Harstem is coaching you, always flame your opponent. He likes it.
The moment he said, "the lessons of Day9 don't always apply anymore," my heart crumbled a bit.
This why I'm happy with my fate as forever diamond league
It is what it is.
The constant encouragement. 😀"It's OK, it's OK, you're doing great." Harstem is such a nice guy.
Respect to Gemini, he was executing the orders of Harstem very quickly. This guy has potential!
Shows just how much difference 1000 MMR really makes.
This was actually amazing as someone who doesn't play starcraft at all it was great to see all the inputs etc... I hope this will come back again ^^. (Especially when its close to proper game)
I found it really funny when Harstem distracted Gemini by talking about random stuff, then says "X is late" and blames him for that lmao, you should've mentioned that thing before it was late captain
When sending the email, this dude played his cards like Daniel Negreanu, what a pro with that meme.
This was great!
Awesome job by Gemini keeping up with the instructions.
Im a 2.9 k mmr, with avg 80 apm. I couldnt beat a 4k even if a pro tells me exactly what to do.
don't be so sure of that. There is a lot of things that don't require a lot of apm that can drive 4k players up the wall :D
I was 3.0 my first experience with having a strong player backseat drive, and it seemed to be worth about 300 MMR. Maybe a bit more with practice--the first time, it throws you off your build having this guy yammering at you. 1000 MMR...it's a big ask. I'll say, it was a lot more fun than I thought it would be!
A+ content, loved this!
Even I was stressed by Harstems coaching, can’t imagine how Gemini kept it together - such a good video
We also recieved free coaching! Thanks captain
this is a PHANTASTIC concept! its almost like you re playing with your voice and with that express every single thing youd do and what you think about. more of this pls :)
I actually really liked that video. Its been a long while since i was so engaged in SC2 ultiplayer. Gemini is such a nice guy and harstem was so engaged the whole time. Very nice. Loved that video so much. Maybe im gona go play some multiplayer too once in eternity)
Harston, this was fantastic. Please do more of this. Big respect to Gemini too for putting himself forward for this.
Honestly such good content. You can see the gap so well just by your reactions. Interaction was great and your patience is great but also showing impact in critical moments.
Loved this, hopefully there's more like this in the future. Reminds me of the archon tourney where the Captain was the Captain of people from his discord. Would absolutely watch a weekly version of this.
Really like this content idea
This is an amazing format and I would love to see more of these!
I and a friend play. She is bronze and I am silver and neither of us has ever looked up a build. We just play by feel. I beat her 99% of the time and you coaching her would be a great video.
Even if it has nothing to do with us I would love to see you do more of these with people from all levels.
Very entretaining and informative at the same time. I really liked that. It was also super fun to see Harstem this excited around 40:16 :)
Mechanically sound guy. Let’s see how this goes ❤
I thought this was an ad at the top of my RUclips app cause of the thumbnail 💀 didn’t know it was a new harstem video till it moved down on my new videos list.
Same 😆
what this shows imo is a) as spectator, this is an interesting format (2 player teams use 1 computer i.e. not archon mode) and b) there's a ton of room for a player and their partner to develop familiarity with each other's vocabulary, preferences, etc. A good player with a good coach could maybe pull ahead of a better player with a bad one. i'd watch
should do a showmatch where lambo gets one and harmstem gets the other
He did a tournament earlier where a team of viewers played against other streamers coaching their viewers, it was great. Would absolutely watch that weekly.
I like this style of content. Would be sick to see this mixed in every now and again!
This is super. I hope you do more of it. Just so educational in so many different ways. --For the goal of helping someone score a 1000 MMR upset, though, I'd think your chances would be better with a somewhat weaker player. You want someone with enough technical skills to do what you ask but poor strategic judgment and game sense. I'd say 2.7K MMR trying to beat 3.7K might be your sweet spot.
Really great episode - would love to see one for other races! GG Gemini!
Every time I see you getting coached, or coaching someone, I have to think of Reynor coaching you; "Who's gonna protect them from the Oracles, God?"
Legendary coaching that was.
I found this video really helpful. There was some great advice in there, like the spreading of stalkers across the map in first game. It would be cool to see more of these coaching type vids, as I think it brings out nuggets of knowledge we don’t necessarily see in other types of content. If of interest, I’m around 3.5k mmr in diamond.
honestly a "head coaching" mode in SC2 where you get a literal coach with limited vision (can't see the other person's minerals / supply) could be an interesting format. I'm thinking of a rally driver / copilot scenario & thanks to @jjbasson for sparking this idea :)
Very fun to watch! I’d like to see more of this.
Great content, thanks for the video, amazing to see the difference in levels, and to know that Gemini would absolutely wipe the floor with so many other players. This game might actually be pretty deep. :)
honestly i really like this format. Kinda wish to see more of these vids
Do more videos like this! Your genuine frustration and excitement as well as Gemini… content worth in gold.
Excellent content!! Was funny when the captain started waving his hands around in frustration 😂
Nice concept
I hope to see more of these in the future !
Harstem is like the dad watching soccer but he actually plays soccer himself
100% down for more gemini content.
I enjoy this format. You should see how big an mmr difference u can overcome across different leagues etc.
Wow! This was really interresting and helpfull for me 5000 toss struggling in PvT.
Thank you Harstem for this free coaching
This kind of commentary u did really explaining styles, that's was cool, we need more, I srsly liked like 10 vids this year cuz I'm lazy like that sorry xD, it's one of them
I loved the balance of flame and encouragement! Would love to see more of this, possibility in lower mmr brackets if you can refrain from pulling your hair out 😂
3:05 Yer its rare to get someone who knows the numbers so well ^^
"makes up for his lack off static" ;P :D
I thought this sounded like a fun idea then I started getting second hand stressed out from harstem barking orders
"Stop laughing, we're fighting for our lives" :D
"Congratulations. Your reward? Death."
Amazing video. I love you hitting the air on games that aren't your on. You had me at the edge of my seat.
I can't believe this guy made it up to 4.9k MMR.
55:19 hehe the 6 zealots "thinking off every hardstem game where he sends 50 zealot+ to suicide without control 'its a matter off numbers' :P "
18:17 damn funny
Superb educational content. More please.
Id be curious to learn if Geminis MMR raises over the next few weeks after this
"Don't shoot all your balls" proceeds to shoot all his balls but always gets like 30-50 army supply to save himself. I think if he would have actually listened he might have lost as he the terran could probably out control and out position him in a slow drawn out fight.
Well done. That last game was tense
“The lessons of Day9 don’t always apply anymore” 😅
Maybe the best video you have ever made. Enjoyed it so much. Keep it up. 😉
This was a great video, I was on the edge of my seat for that last game!
Excellent job Gemini. Could see lots of little positives in the games you lost, last game would have been so easy to throw with disruptor stalker but harstem kept you focused. GG
Good stuff. This would be a good series with different guests!
I am learning so much from this, great content idea, pls repeat
Gemini has no active awareness of where the enemy army is. It disappears out of his mind.
GG-emini and Harstem in one video?! We have been blessed (if gemini can avoid tilting ;^) )
Great vídeo!
Maybe a new series is born?
6:55 Artosis rage
Please make this a series! Get lambo or Reynor to do it for Zerg while we’re at it
if this is the last we see of this im finna be madge dawg
This is the greatest trade deal, maybe even ever!
You should do this more often, informative
He played so well. Very responsive to the captain
Realizing there were 3 gateways unpowered for the last 3ish minutes of the game cracked me up 55:54
…this is the Gemini who shows up in Artosis’ chat ffa’s and co-casts Tasteless Timewarp tournaments alongside Tasteless, right?
Bros reading my mind.
I'm sitting here thinking of playing terran for the first time with that lol
That was a lot of fun to watch
That was really fun!
I’m a bronze league noob, you can coach me to silver and you get video content!!!!
No offense, but that's like getting a BMX pro to teach you how to ride a bike without training wheels.
ViBElol's channel has B2GM with every race and it got me from G3 -> D3 in 3 months. I highly recommend it.
Just learning the principles made it so I can play my off-races at the P1-D3 level.
@@xitaris5981 offer still stands
Play one race, learn one build that can be played against all races, practice until you can hit timings reliably. That will get you to plat. Then practice a tight build for each matchup and that should get you to diamond. Then you will need more specialized skills and knowledge, but in practicing a tight build order, and having less variability in each game because you are doing the same thing, you will already have developed a lot of skills needed for more advanced play
I think it would make for better content if a gold league player to coaches, then he can critique the coaching afterwards.
Sick last game!!
We want episode two
What a catchy title.
Hey Harstem, im just liking and comment to raise awareness on your channel, maybe I shouldn't start beef in the comments but it just bothers the hell outa me that winter has nearly double your subs.
This aint the same Gemini who is casting the SC Evo matches lately together with Tasteless, or is he?
It is indeed me :)
it's kinda disgusting watching terran be down 50 supply or more the entire last game and at basically no points was protoss allowed to take a head on fight
Ah, because the 1k mmr difference and the way harstem chose to approach this have nothing to do with that, genius comment.
id love to see the captain couch someone in bronze league and see how good he can make them.
this was really fun ^^
kinda how one hoped rts was "you command and stuff happens, spare our hands :P"
Great advice on macro. Try to be a bit nicer next time! You were stressing me out, lol
How much MMR did he end up getting from the last game?
Lets go!
i would love to do this aswell Harstem, im 4400 Toss ;D
Send Harstem an email ;)
now lets see it with Z and P opps
I learned a lot from this
380 APM?? Doing what?
MORE than YOU! **dabs**
380 is perfectly fine
@Gemini19 true. That's kind of my point though. Why is it so high?
Your opponent had 200 APM and 1000 more MMR.. I know playing Terran is easy, but it's not _that_ easy.
@Underr4t3d it just seems superfluous. His opponent has 100 MMR on him and only had 200 APM. Yet he's still consistently missing his build order timings by a big enough margin, they're on par with 3200 MMR.
So is it just wasted energy too boost his ego and make him feel like a pro? Is it spastic clicking? A tick?
@@xitaris5981 ohh brother I saw Reynor having 1000 APM the other das a third of that is already wgo boosting for you?
That was cool!
Moja playing at 5.9K MMR with 170APM. Sheesh
I don't understand this trend.
2 base Terran always goes for units, attack, damage - most games the damage is game winning.
2 base Protoss always goes for 3rd even though he's standing on 2 gate - Robo/Stargate.
Like why? Why the Protoss goes for 3rd with absolutely no production?
Just asking...
It actually makes no sense to have production and then have to skip a production cycle to get a third when you could just keep up your production cycles and get a third. You're only hurting yourself with your suggestion.
That never made any sense to me either, especially right now most terrans win by timing attack in that time, killing the protoss before they get enough army supply. But on the other hand you can't compete on equal eco with a terran since they have mules, so always more eco.
A bit too much flaming gemini in between the coaching i believe…. Harstem does not really has the patience. Still a lot of good tips for the viewers!
You're trying this against Moja!??? A 4900 MMR player is going to get absolutely slammed, no offence. Moja is really REALLY good!! In the recent ESL europe open qualifier he beat MaNa 2-0, then DNS 2-1, and only ended up being beaten by Lambo, (who is in the grand final.)
Wow, Gemini actually won the last game! That was really impressive GG!
