The big guy was known as Giles De Rais. Y'see, the English executed Joan for being a "heretic" because she said god told her to kill Englishmen, and to the English clergy, god would never say that. Giles de Rais was also villified for being a satan-worshipping child murderer.

They also weren't as well known the James Gang or Billy the Kid or even the larger gang the Wild Bunch often ran with, the Hole-in-the-Wall Gang.

Hannibal Barca crossed the Alps in the second Punic war. Not the first. Seco d Punic war started with Hannibal crossing the Alps into Roman territory and ended with Scipio Africanus defeating Hannibal at the battle of Zama in African territory.

Fun fact, Toyohisa calls Joan a "southern barbarian" because back when Japan was a closed country all the foreign trade with the outside world happened at a port in the south of Japan. I think that's how it was, anyhow.

I am learning lots of people don't know about the story of Joan of Arc
Silentlightz nope, just heard about her, never cared to look into her story until seeing drifters.
From my research, she was officially charged with “wearing a military man’s clothing as a woman”, so asking her if she was a man or woman would get her triggered. Of course, I’m pretty sure that people charged with dressing improperly would just be hanged. Being burned was reserved for witches and heretics. My theory on that is they couldn’t get her to confess to witchcraft, so they just charged her with what they could and executed her in a fashion reserved for witches. That way, they can imply that the Maid of Orleans was a witch and use that to demoralize France, even if they couldn’t get her to admit to it. But I did all this back in high school, so I might not be remembering right.
It’s crazy she saved fought for France raised an army of peasants in name of God when Britain invaded France and she helped push them back if it wasn’t for her France would have been destroyed after all her efforts they found out she was a female And Church accused of her being a witch and talking to Devil me her victories were from the Devil not from God and she was put on trial and never lost her faith and was burned at the stake Giles fought with her in the war and was later put on trial for killing a lot of children like a lot and was executed for murder

There is a game called Bladestorm. It's basically Samurai Warriors just slightly more tactical. But it's during the 100 years war between England and France. Your a mercenary and eventually you pick to fight for one of the two Kingdoms. Joan of Arc is kinda one of the main leaders midway through the game. While you got famous English people like Edward the Black Prince who beaten the French army at 16 years old. Worth checking out anyways.
