Thanks Kayla! Never heard of talking up the storm. I think it's worth adding that there is "you are a fine one to talk" which, I suppose, is the original, more ironic and self-evident version of "you are one to talk". It's easier for students to go with the 'extended' one... for me at least.

Sweet talk is more or less an equivalent of buttering up. I liked the "talk about [adjective|noun]". It's a nice one in my tool belt

Learning all the idioms by heart and using them in a suitable conversation is quite hard for non native speakers
