    the amount of patience you must have to be able to create these bracelets and describe in such detail how to make them is baffling to me, remarkable work sir, definitely looking forward to viewing more of your videos

      Thank you sir. I dislike making things that take less than an hour lol. I always look forward to the outcome of a bracelet. The harder a pattern is, the better it looks when finished. Thanks for watching

    Very complicated design. Love the bracelet. Hard to see everything you are working on because of the dark carpet background. Might help if you worked over a white background. ;-)

    I think you should use a light background when using dark colors. It would be easier to see and state lengths of cords and buckle size.

    i have already built the highlander. now doing this. i need to work on that fine line between too tight and not tight enough...

    • @JoshuaRaines
      @JoshuaRaines  7 лет назад

      Anthony Marshall you are correct. Too much tension and you get a different outcome…. Too little and you get a mess! I don't use a jig…. I can control the outcome much better because I can see the backside!

    i know this video is a few years old, but i recently discovered it. Awsome design!
    But very difficult to follow, due to the bad light.... have to guess sometimes. And the black cores are hard to see, due to the dark background. Thats a shame, i relly wanted to try it out...

    I too found it difficult to follow. I suggest that when weaving black , or any dark paracord, use a white or lighter back drop.

    Hi Great design but is there any chance you can do a video where it's a bit better lighting conditions it's probably a bit cheeky but i so want to do this bracelet no worries if you can't do it

    Hey Joshua great video I am looking maybe make this weave into a strap for a messenger bag how much of each cord like twice or three time my total length?

    • @JoshuaRaines
      @JoshuaRaines  6 лет назад

      CHRIS martinez I've actually made many straps using this pattern. I did a camera strap just the other month that was 40" long. Both cords were around 60 feet long each. It's no fun, but the end result is always worth it

    • @chrismartinez7037
      @chrismartinez7037 6 лет назад +1

      Thanks just to be clear did you mean to put 60 feet or inches?

    • @JoshuaRaines
      @JoshuaRaines  6 лет назад

      CHRIS martinez around 60 feet for each cord for something around 40" long. So 120 Feet of cord

      One more thing. Listing thinnest to thickest.Is the highlander ,the McLeod ,or the fof the thinnest or thickest

    • @JoshuaRaines
      @JoshuaRaines  8 лет назад +1

      The Macleod is the thinnest. The Highlander is just a little thicker because of the extra cord, and The Fight or Flight Bar is the thickest of the three because of all the half hitches

    • @Thornspyre
      @Thornspyre 6 лет назад

      Amazon and/or eBay have plenty usually, YMMV depending on country, you can get them from around $1 each up to $5 each and theres rarely any difference in quality (some use cheaper metals, but that wont affect your using them) so dont just buy the first you find.
      Personally i'd recommend you buy at least 2, and maybe even 2 more, depending on how many theads you generally work on per item.
