The merchant guild disappears after you form mughals so what you said about having 6 estates is wrong but you still get 5, which is not bad

As a Timurid enjoyer myself (in fact I enjoy it so much most of the time I don't even form the mughals, larp ftw) I think your start is great. The only thing I do differently is letting your subject send the royal marriage instead of sending it yourself so that you don't lose the marriage when Shah Rukh, the Chadlordius Maximus, dies. This won't always happen tho. Mostly weaker subjects send it but transoxiana won't but if the weaker ones send you can just use the prestige to reduce transoxianese liberty desire.
Timurids are not of Mongolian descent. They are of Uzbek nomadic conquerer

yeah you're right! I did it as a subject of lithuania in my zaporozhie run a year ago I think, but what I meant by it is that AI a lot less likely to declare their independence if at war, even though they can
Crippling the Otto’s is the hardest part of these campaigns
If you're not rivals with them, you can usually ally the Polish or the Hungarians in some cases. That helps a bit.
They get crippled in the age of absolutism now. 3 really big disasters and they get like +100% tech and idea cost at full decadence if I'm not mistaken. So I think it's best to ignore them and defend in the Persian mountains if they do attack you.

PSA: Ludi lost almost 400 diplo when he formed Mughals before diplo-annexing Afghanistan. This is because the decision to form Mughals gets rid of all your Timurid claims and cores in the Persia subcontinent, including the ones on your subjects' provinces. He'd have to diplo-annex it for full-price now.
This isn't a dunk on Ludi, just a PSA that this decision is unique and to be careful before you click it! Take care to integrate all your Timurid subjects before forming Mughals :p

As a native of Dungadar (Jaipur) 15:25 I couldn’t tell you 5 things about it in 1449 too because it was established of all things during the Mughal era itself 😂. On point with the video

you can have to 2 sets of 1% burger loans if you take them before forming mughals and getting the jains. The Jains let you take another set of 1% loans

@LudietHistoria When you were about to integrate Transoxiana and needed to lower their liberty desire you probably could have given them Termez or the other core of theirs you have since you'd just instantly get it back anyway.
I don't know if other people are interested in this but I'd like to see you do a EU4 run at a later start date to see what's it like.
Always play Timmy as first playthrough on each patch, my fav nation historically. :) Usually ally Ottomans & use them to wreck Quara & Mameluks even easier, cock block them & turn on them after. :)

Always wanted to see person who will conquer America as Mughals for culture bonuses…. Or as China harmonize Zoroastrians, but its less weird

i don't understand why people rushing for to form mughals. timurids mission tree grants ccr, discipline, shock damage, morale, golds, mana points, manpower rec. speed, reduc. land attrition, recovery morale speed, prestige and maybe more. those bonuses give blobbing chance and even you can complete true heir of timurid achiement without broke your run.

Hey, if you are forming Mughals as Timurids then don't give monarch point privilege to Merchant guilds, form Mughals then give it to jains . That way you don't lose 10% crownlands druring tag-switch.

Suprised you didn't consolidate persia area and use up Timmy missions, then go muggle.
However, i understand getting into India battle royale is very important too, because it can become a deadlock hugbox and annoying to get into if you dont pounce asap.

I love to watch these hc-strat videos getting inspiration for my own (hobby) project and Ludi does excellent work - even when live, but especially in these edited vids. I don't play EU4 (probably will, thanks to Ludi), but I must wonder how these videos aren't kind of taking the fun out of finding out of all these mechanics? I mean, great if it doesn't, but it feels a bit spoilery.
