Command & Conquer: Generals - GLA Mission 2 Brutal - SCORPION RUSH!

Another easy mission, just train RPG troopers and garrison them inside neutral buildings, you need them to destroy those supply drop zone planes and raptors, then finally just rush to their encampment with Scorpions as you'll steal lots of money from destroying them.

I am pretty damn sure this mission was cut from the German release, like a few other things. The German release had no Civilians on the maps, all "human" units were Cyborgs and the rolling suicide bombers were remote controlled bomb cars. Seeing the Original version is strange and interesting. It makes the GLA look a lot more evil.

I never thought this was censored in Germany, interesting choice of using cyborgs, sadge it was censored during release

@@unknownonedied8765 They used Cyborgs in every CnC game. Tiberium Conflict was also censored in this way. Soldiers were Cyborgs that had a distorted voice to sound like a robot, they didn't bleed red blood, but purple oil and when you ran them over they didn't really scream and didn't sound like crushing bones, like crushing an empty soda can.
German games have always been heavily censored in terms of violence, less so nudity and very strong censorship on Nazi symbols.
If you know Tenchu, the old PSX game were you play a Ninja, that was indexed, meaning it could be sold, but only to adults and not openly displayed in video games stores, except in a secluded adult section. Why? Because it depicted violence in a "crude way" and the game princhiple of "sneaky murder".
It changed a little bit with games being mostly digitally marketed now, but on the German steam page you still cannot get uncensored versions for a lot of games and many Hentai or other Sex-focused games are not available.
All for the stated purpose of protecting the youth, which they don't succeed in anyway.

@@truelightseeker That is unfortunate, this is why I don't like censorship in general, like Commandos 2 was censored, not just the Nazi swatika, even the Japanese flag symbol, which is a generic red circle, it's not even the "Rising Sun" symbol

You are totally right, it was removed in the german version. There is no way this mission would make sense with Cyborgs and UN/USA/China renamed to some random generic names. I just recently found out that the whole China campaign (Zero Hour) took place in Germany, because the locations like "Berlin - Germany" got translated to "Capital City - somewhere on the continent". I wounder why they decided to give us the honor… :D
