    Hoah, these two seem like they aren't just ambitious for the hunt but to feed the mouths of his family and community, truly amazing.

    I have always had a great admiration for hunter/ gatherer types. I’m sure that living off the land and sea presents its challenges, but that they are welcomed as they build character. Thanks for sharing Wallace.

    Each video presents a different aspect of life in Gambell. I appreciate how much time each one takes to edit. Yours offer high-quality footage shot from different angles. I’m a big fan of your drone work. I hope you never get tired of producing these gems.
    It was also nice to see Correy, Agra, & Puwiima.
    Thanks for bringing me back to a place I love.

    Great video, are there any regulations on how many seals you can hunt? Just finished watching the vid of u picking sea vegetables (are sea potatoes found in Alaska only?)

    Shooting a moving target while in a swaying boat must be frustrating sometimes.
    I've never eaten seal meat. Is it fishy?
    The humpback footage was incredible!

    • @WallaceUngwiluk
      @WallaceUngwiluk  11 дней назад +1

      Definitely not easy! I wouldn’t say fishy but has more of an oily taste from the blubber.

    How is power generated on the island? Seems like the windmills aren't ever turning in videos I've seen on RUclips.

    • @WallaceUngwiluk
      @WallaceUngwiluk  2 месяца назад +2

      There’s a small power plant here in town that is run off of diesel. The windmills have been out of commission for a couple of years here.

    Excellent footage! Love the humpbacks and the seals. How hard is it to shoot accurately on a rocking boat? Thanks for the videos!

    • @WallaceUngwiluk
      @WallaceUngwiluk  2 месяца назад

      Thanks Randy! It’s definitely a challenge to shoot a seal on a rocking boat. The seal will usually only stay up for a quick few seconds so trying to get an accurate shot on a rocking boat is not the easiest of shots. Thanks for watching!

    Thank you for sharing the video of that beautiful whale. If memory serves me right, they eat small fish and plankton, is that correct? You are so blessed to live in what I call God's natural beauty. Not bogged down with the nonsensical agendas we are seeing in the streets. If I didn't love my garden in the summer so much, I'd want to be there,,,where you can hear the songs of the wind, the chatter of the trees, and the magnificence of all natures beautiful animals.

      We do eat them! Doesn’t really smell like fish. Smells more like the blubber that they have. I can’t think of something to compare the smell to that you might be familiar with. It has its own distinct smell
