kingston and pete's dynamic exactly reminds me of when john mulaney took photos of his and pete davidson's dressing rooms when they did a show together
This is such a hard sell from a pure conceptual level, but damn did they do a good job mixing the mundanity and majesty of NYC with the magic of a fantasy setting. A+
I love the small details they pay attention to in this. When Pete gave Alejandro the juul and Kingston calls him out, Brennan actually motions to put the nonexistent juul into a shirt pocket. Like most games small things get overlooked or don't go into them in lou of furthering the story, yet they all manage to do the small details while continuing the plot. Love this group!
i've never questioned brennan's talent but the fact that he said 'como se dice' at 22:34 in an accurate accent that a hispanic person would have so effortlessly blows my mind
I do love the dichotomy of Pete and Kingston. Pete being disconected, not knowing about magic, and generally being wowed by what he's able to accomplish and what is going on. Meanwhile Kingston is friends with everyone, has been in magic since he was a lot younger, and is pretty unfazed by the weird magic of the unsleeping city. It kinda feels like they embody exactly what they're meant to, Pete is all the dreamers who come to new york to try to get away and are amazed by it all, while kingston is all the new york lifers who grew up here and have accepted the weirdness as part of the neighborhood.
I just finished all of fantasy high on RUclips and just started this, I absolute love how rich the story is so far. Brennan does such a great job of giving players creative freedom and shape their world (like Lou naming the minor NPCs they find)
My favourite part of this and the previous episode is how sofia is slowly getting more used to her maiden name instead of ex's last name. Like she introduces herself with her mairen name more and more and to me, it feels like shes regaining her sense of self OUTSIDE of her ex. Which is wonderful for her!

damn, a minute after it's posted, nice
Flando is everywhere. He must be wielding the Infinity Gauntlet
Truly, God's work
Good job
Flando!
murph just silently dancing as brennan is trying to get through the hairy baby line is SENDING ME
Pete turning down authentic 1700s British Pounds that are probably worth thousands of dollars to a collector or museum is cracking me up
fwiw, between getting overpaid and having to explain where he got the money when trying to exchange it, probably not things Pete wants to deal with.
@@alecLogan dude 100% he knows someone who will pay him cash for it he's a drug dealer he's gotta know a fence or someone he knows has got to.
The little "im old enough to be your father" at the vape bit was hilarious
This the most classic writer and reader interaction I've ever seen live
Reader: *read a portion of the work* "I feel sad"
Writer: *fist in the arm in excitement from invoking that pain * YA!
How is it Zac’s characters always have the best parents 😭
kingston and pete's dynamic exactly reminds me of when john mulaney took photos of his and pete davidson's dressing rooms when they did a show together
Brennan is so clearly in love with NY. It's awesome he found such a cool way to share it.
It’s so cute how Rickey is sweet on Esther.
"You're baby's covered in hair and everyone's upset" lmao
Siobhan really pulls off that “actress in an interview” vibe so well
31:04 I'm dying. Zac and Emily are comic geniuses. "Do they have a spectator pass?"
Sophia's thirsty af! Lol
i've never questioned brennan's talent but the fact that he said 'como se dice' at 22:34 in an accurate accent that a hispanic person would have so effortlessly blows my mind
"I mean look, nobody's happy at a wedding!"

"I've been studying men for a really long time, and I can't stare at Ricky enough" lmfao incredible
I love Murph's chinchilla dance
Edit: 43:58 (so I can keep coming back to the dance)
Oh bless your soul
Commenting so you can watch the dance again
Pete just straight up selling Alejandro drugs in the middle of a hospital is probably one of the funnier bits I’ve seen.
This would make an amazing live action movie. Just the talking with Pete and Kingston was so clear to see them walking down NYC as the crowd parts
That bit with the Spicy Pigeon had me laughing so hard in a quiet space I had to bury my face in a pillow.
Kingston is an absolute gem! Oh my god. Calling it now, he’s gonna be the breakout character of this show.
Bold of you to assume they won't all be.
I'm watching for the first time now, and I just can't take my eyes off Misty whenever she speaks
wholesome old person is a timeless archetype
1:29:35 Lou’s delayed and incredibly distinctive laugh is giving me life!!!!
@ 59:26
ally: I feel sad
Brennan: YEAH!
as a writer I connect with this on an emotional level
The "Kugrash, shut the fuck up man!" With the intense music in the background had me in tears 🤣🤣🤣
My favourite part of this and the previous episode is how sofia is slowly getting more used to her maiden name instead of ex's last name. Like she introduces herself with her mairen name more and more and to me, it feels like shes regaining her sense of self OUTSIDE of her ex. Which is wonderful for her!
I only knew Lou as Fabian Seacaster, so I kind of assumed that's who he was as a person. Love seeing how different Kingston is!
Can we all just talk about how Sophie is really down for adventure and she’s sort of the leader?
She has bde, that's why
Now finished with both seasons this comment is very accurate and true
@@Quocalimar as is this one lol
Okay I do love how Kugresh immediately starts trash talking the rat King but I absolutely adore Brennan's Don Confetti voice
"I'm rolling a blunt, I'm not about to eat this sober!" Hahahah me af
The knock at the door followed by the pigeon explosion is hilarious
Watching Brennan trying to tease information he knows is important out of people is amazing 😂
i love ricky's borderline toxic positivity
I thpught they only had combat every two episodes? That pigeon encounter was the most intense thing ive ever witnessed.
Peter: I feel sad
DM: Yeahhhh!
fucking love that
I love the fact that Kugrash & Sofia just like. Hang out. Because like what else are either of them doing on a Thursday at 9: 30 pm
I think it's really cute that Emily still calls Brian "Murph."

Sophia trying to lay on hands without the power of said spell is hilarious.
"A grey baby? A GREY BABY."

"As ... someone who only wants the best for the city, I am not a cop."
Brennan is a goldmine for absolutely based takes while staying in character.
the healing exchange of sophia trying to heal Alejandro's granddaughter is like full scene from brooklyn 99 and I'm freaking losing it.
