The United States Army Special Forces (colloquially known as the Green Berets) are a special operations force of the United States Army that are designed to deploy and execute several key missions: counterinsurgency, unconventional warfare, direct action, foreign internal defense, special reconnaissance and security force assistance. The "Quiet Professionals," Special Forces units are today deployed worldwide displaying their dominance in full-spectrum operations through their unconventional warfare expertise. From humanitarian assistance and training of indigenous forces, to direct action and special reconnaissance missions, Special Forces Soldiers live up to the Special Forces motto: De Oppresso Liber, "To Free the Oppressed".

10th Group! I was stationed at Ft. Carson in Colorado and it's also the official home of 10th Group. We used their insane obstacle course every few months to toughen us up for deployments.

Green Berets, Rangers & regular SEALs are tier 2
Delta Force & Navy SEALs are tier 1 (most elite)
@@ChristianPA Incorrect. "Regular SEALs" and "Navy SEALs" are the same thing. They are both US Navy SEALs, aka "regular" SEALs, and are T2. Devgru, aka Seal Team 6, is T1.

@@steelknight5052 12B or combat engineer. Ill be getting my degree in December so ideally OCS and its between intel or some sort of flight school. Hopefully, we will see what kind of "promises" are made

This is cool but as someone who just got out of the Army people NEED to understand that unless you are Special Forces, all you will do is sweep, mop, and cut grass. *You will be a janitor.* Only join the Army if you are going to join(and PASS) Special Forces or Ranger Assessment and Selection. If you go to the regular Army you will hate yourself because you will not any of this and will be a professional janitor. *You have been WARNED.*
I agree. I spent 23 years of being miserable. The only cool thing I did was going to Airborne school. I can’t believe more Soldiers aren’t dead because of the piss poor leadership. Whenever young people ask me about my service, I tell them I always did the right thing and tried my hardest but my experience with the Army was really awful. When they tell me they want to join, I tell them their first choice should be the Air Force. Those guys have 90 day deployments and all the cool shit. If they insist on Army, I tell them to go Special Ops and they need to pass selection or they will wind up being a cook or a truck driver. I should have gone Air Force.
@@SM-iz7xu Spot on. I try to tell as many as I can as well to join the Air Force. Most don't listen. I saw how their special operations Pararescue guys also got treated overseas. Like gods. Even compared to our SF guys, Air Force operators had it FAR FAR better. Just a better branch in every way.

I was getting ready for SFAS to hopefully go ODA and then I lost my identical twin brother to Afghanistan. That knee capped me. I lost all motivation and stopped caring about anything for a while. I wish I pushed through the pain and followed my dreams. I still have a CIB and 3 combat tours under my belt which is more than most so there’s that I guess.

I have a question if someone knows how to answer it, at minute 4:08 they, upon reaching a T-junction, make a synchronized movement with the weapon, raising it up and lowering it before making the entrance, what you see is looking at the ground first and then to the center of mass of a standing person, is it in case the element is thrown to the floor? Or is it some kind of signal, to indicate to your partner that you are going stealth in?

Only difference between sf and normal infantry is budget ofc and mission set which is to train foreign troops. And all I've told you is all over RUclips and even on the usarmy website.

yeah nice...everybody does this and maybe named themselves the dark knight, the grey killer, the red bloody or the Green Ogre force. Any operations needs a backup and that depends on the Country supporting the operations...Not naming some television character maybe Chuck Norris...tand some fancy designated force coming in the media. Any or all special force needs backup and without it...it is just impossible to do it
