DEMOS FROM THE BASEMENT: AMPSAMPS MODEL 2 / Filmosound 385

Hello! Thanks for checking out the AMPSAMPS RUclips channel.
This video features my MODEL 2 / Filmosound 385 amplifier.
The Model 2 is a push-pull 15w 6V6 amp (though I have done a few with EL84s & 6L6s) that features a paraphase phase inverter and pentode in V1 - a 5879 in this case. The phase inverter is a 12AX7. 5Y3 rectifier. Single input, volume control, tone control, 8 & 16 ohm speaker output jacks. The Model 2 circuit I have developed and refined over many builds, and finds its roots in the Gibson tweed & Filmosound amps.
What makes these amps in the Filmosound 385 (and 179 chassis) unique is in the paper bobbin output transformers and the use of the 5879 pentode in V1.
What makes my versions unique is the point to point circuitry, component choices and thoughtful lead dress to minimize noise and provide stability for routine use.
