Ruyi was innocent towards the emperess, though she shouldn't have been. Others did things in Ruyi's name. She never wanted to be involved in those games but would answer back if attacked or anticipated an attack. She did so much to the harem women, of course they hated her. Even the guards didn't like the empress. The emperor didn't either until she died. Also you cant tell me with the emperor's boat that close that he didn't hear it. He wanted Ruyi to be empress. But when she took the job seriously, he compared her to the late empress to push her down. I really hate him. If I was Ruyi, i would refuse to see him in the afterlife forever. He probably went down anyway. Serves him right. Some say because the plum bloomed after he died she forgave him. I say she was finally happy because he got sent down to h3ll.
