Constantiaberg Hike | Elephants Eye | Table Mountain

- This is one of those hikes where you are spoiled with so much to see. This route can be extended all the way to noordhoek peak for a full day outing. I was surprised at how big this cave is and it makes for some beautiful pictures. The route is 3km to Elephants Eye but 4,5km to Constantiaberg. You have to pay at the gate to enter so keep that in mind. From the Cave to the top is very overgrown and I had some serious snake scares, luckily we only saw a tiny brown snake.

Nice! I did the mast hike in 2000, before the forest fire devastated the entire mountain.
It was so sad not to have a better view 😁, but some we win and some we lose. That is definitely a while ago and I’m sure the view was beautiful back then.

Hi, this route is sort of only a half of the actual route with a detour to elephant’s eye: Noordhoek Peak, Sentinel, Constantiaberg and Elephant's Eye on AllTrails

@@garnettsnymanokay thank you! I want to do the 13 peaks challenge so one of the peaks is constanicaberg, so I did Elephants Eye cave a couple of months ago- so is that the peak the mean? 😅 ie can i check Constanicaberg off the list? 😂

How's the difficulty?
This one to elephants eyes was not too bad but if you go to constantia berg it is tough and overgrown 😁.
