All the natural wood items you were asking, what’s the appeal. In the 80’s when my dad was in the Army, we were stationed in Germany a few times. I can tell you that in Germany (and probably other European countries) this Christmas woodwork was all the rage. It’s been popular throughout the years and still is even today. I believe a lot or maybe even all this stuff is handmade? Some of these pieces have sooo much fine woodwork detail. Think “Scandinavian” style. When we lived in Germany, they had AMAZING Christmas markets there. They were filled with tons and tons of merchants selling everything. This included merchants who sold all the wood items like this. The Carousels were popular - my mom had one of those. The box/drawer Advent Calendars, Nutcrackers, Cuckoo Clocks, Wall/Shelf Scenes and much more. It’s interesting how in recent years Nutcrackers have gotten so popular here. Now it seems all the other Scandinavian items are starting to follow. It’s funny, now they are starting to grow on me - it reminds me of Germany, Christmas, the markets, drinking hot wine and a part of my young years and that’s probably why. You’d love their Heart Gingerbread cookies Crystal! They are everywhere there and HUGE! The Germans seemed to really love the gingerbread.
You talk intervention, me too my whole back room is filled with new Gingy stuff. Had to buy 2 more trees can't wait to put it all out. Hope I still have $ for presents for others🤗
