    I used to work for Wolverine tube we drew copper tubing for refrigeration, always wondered how different steel would be. Not much really we used microwave annealers but otherwise pretty much the same.

    Sodium stearate, the "dry lubricant" is also the most common type of soap.

    I used to be a drawbench operations. Our equipment sucked. Nice operation!

      @Ram Prasanth we had two benches for pulling SS rounds into square. One older bench, made in the 1920's, cast iron gears 8 feet tall, 100k lbs pull. Max 3" .250 wall.
      The other bench was made in the 1950's and had a max of almost 7" .375 wall, 200k lbs pull I believe. Had a 150hp GE 3 phase electric motor with machined gear reduction.

    Can the DOM tubes be galvanized? How can one use a DOM tube without getting rust on it for a long time?

    What is about chattering? Solution? Tool damage and speed limit goes by chattering. I know there is a solution now in 2022
