It does NOT use a proprietary battery. Can use any 18350 rechargeable lithium battery. I’ve been using Keeppower high drain 18350 IMR 1200mah batteries in mine. I went for a 45 minute dog walk the other night with it, going from high to turbo every few minutes or so, and then used it for awhile the next couple days and battery only went down to 3.89 volts. I like my Catapult mini. For only $43 including battery, I think it has enough spill, besides it’s a thrower and for its size it’s one hell of good thrower! The intense hot spot bounces off lightly colored objects and gives off usable spill. Love mine
@@CharlesBridgTec money isn't an issue. Beam preference would be combination with a lean towards throw. Needs to be pocket able with clip and rechargeable. Would really like a tailswitch but i dont have to have it. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated
I don't see how this light competes with a kr1 w1 with a short tube. The kr1 w1 is a tad shorter and a lot narrower, the kr1 has a clip - a good clip at that, has the anduril UI, an 18650 battery option and neither battery configuration requires a proprietary battery.
most ferraris are faster than a mustang or camaro but...it doesn't mean the mustangs or camaros (aren't) fast..the catapult mini isn't trying to (compete) with anything..thrunite just offers a compact,lightweight TIR thrower that's all.
more flood would defeat the purpose of a TIR lenses...and the hotspot widens out a decent amount even at 50 ft..it's meant as a spot and it surpasses many light that are bigger..on the flip side I know there's many bigger lights that make it look silly but..to many reviewers try to pass this light off as a novelty instead of looking at its purpose and that's to be a lightweight, compact monster thrower which it excelled at.

It is wht it is. A bargain thorower. Even though it odesn't have as muh defined spill as on an Olight Javalot Mini at 2x the price!!! even during one of Olights sales....the Catapult Mini is still almost HALF the cost. It would be the reason i buy one.....eventually.
