I love Monk. It's a great combination between episodic cases, an ongoing story arc and an ever developing characterization of the key players. It was the first series I ever finished, and it's still one of my favorites.
Monk is my favorite detective. I’m a sucker for good mysteries and great characters. I love the mixture of comedy and drama, and especially love Monk’s relationship with his wife, as he misses her so much. Him seeing her “spirit” (though it was in his mind) occasionally also pulled at the heart strings. Thank you for your review. I will definitely be watching the new movie. ❤
