    This calypso was composed by Lord Invader Ruppert Grant in the 40's It was #1 for 10 weeks in 1944 by The Andrew Sisters The song is an attack on Human Trafficking Both mother and daughter working for the yankee dollar

      It's Trinidad and Tobago to be precise ☺
      They're probably mentioning Jamaica because Calypso and Reggae are related but distinct in rhythms and lyrical form. This music would've been played in Jamaica and I'm sure they have fond memories of this song, like drinking a popular Jamaican rum (Appleton) with coca-cola. But don't worry, they know she's a Trini 😉
