Hi Tweet, I read your comment on the Travis Barker plane crash video about the decisions that Sarah Lemmon made during that takeoff. I just wanted to say it is one of the more thoughtful and graceful comments that I have read on any feedback thread... As a non-pilot who is interested in aviation, in order to form feelings and make judgements about incidents, I rely on not only videos themselves but the feedback that others leave. Sometimes it's hard to sort through them, and initially I wasn't sure what to think about the pilots' actions leading up to and during the event - but your comment made it crystal clear. With the exception of the brief indecision to reject the takeoff, most of the choices made were acceptable (I would only add there seemed to be some confusion initially when she made the V1 V2 rejection criteria comments, and the FO didn't seem to agree and they didn't seem to reconcile that - could have been better CRM at that point)... I work in an industry that is usually pretty mundane and boring given the hours we work compared to the big events we actually respond to (firefighting), but occasionally despite our training and experience we suffer fatalities. Thankfully, like aviation, the numbers are low, but they still happen. And like aviation, we study our sentinel events very closely. But on RUclips we also get a lot of judgements "If they had only...." and "If they had followed their training..." Complex and dangerous jobs also have many nuances that allow you to do things not "by the book" and still maintain an acceptable level of safety. Your comment on that video crystallized my thoughts on that concept. Unfortunately, like many tragic incidents, there were a number of small circumstances that culminated in the crash of the Lear. I was disappointed that you didn't get more thumbs up or feedback on your remarks but oh well that's RUclips comment section for you. Sorry to post this on your channel vs the video itself but I wanted to make sure that there was a good chance you would read it. I don't know how or if I can do that. You download the theme through the launcher, then you can modify it to your liking. I just watched a bunch of videos on how to do it, and then a bit of trial and error.
