Quite a difference from the ride that left Steve less than happy & with rubbery legs. Nice group, that pony was a surprise, how can he carry that weight & keep up with Farouk, amazing. Farouk has good manners, well done !!!!

🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🏆🏇🏆🏇🏆🏇🏆🏇🏆🏇🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉. This wasn’t an official race; rather, in advanced Registration, the organizers assigned groups of six by rider level(novice and upwards) and desired pace (fast or slow). The groups started in 15 minute intervals. Fast pace groups went first followed by the slow pace groups. Tara was in group 2 and they pasted group 1....thus, Group 2 were the first riders completing the course!💕💕💕
Now this is what I a call a "fun ride" Riding in a small group with like-minded riders...at least that's my idea of fun. Now I'm intrigued and nervous for the next part, but I completely trust your reassurance Tara🖤💜🧡🌸
Sure l heard Farouk shout yippeeeeeee ! at the end, the fell pony is certainly a pocket rocket !
Think everyone & their mounts had a thoroughly grand ride out, l really enjoyed every minute, but it's tiring work watching, think l'll have a coffee !!

That was a lovely ride and Farouk felt very comfortable only his second time in a group the first day being a slow and very windy muddy day he handled both very well and grown up. He never has been one to lash out or be frightened by other horses having being with Apollo all his life . He's sweet through and through with his humans and horses testament and a credit to you and Rens and Steve too .🐎
Farouk’s scaredy-cat problem always seems to be with inanimate objects.🤪

Hi Tara, I am really enjoying this outing. 150 participants is extraordinary.
I was really glad you were part of a great group of like minded riders- that little pony sure his something- I kept thinking, I hope she doesn't push him too hard, but WOW, he can run. I especially liked that last run where you started at the back and the pony was way out front and Farouk overtook the pony like it was standing still. AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME.
The only parts of these outings I don't like is the amount of asphalt roads the planners have you all travelling on.

What a bummer having to pull Farouk up! Be amazing to give him his full head on a desert or a never ending beach! It's great riding out with others, but I always hated being stuck at the back, especially behind a plod or if the horse I was on needed to have a good gallop. I used to ride an Arab mare called Manna. She was amazing and very well schooled. Sadly I never got to give her a proper flat out gallop, because of where the riding school was situated, the bridle paths stretches just weren't long enough to pick up that much speed. She had a beautiful canter, and got really excited and dancy before she knew we were going to canter. I did tend to deliberately hold her back a bit so I could go a bit faster, and just enjoy her. She was also an amazing jumper! I used to ride her in the indoor school and use the jumps. I always dreamed of owning an Arab. I think the fastest horse I have ridden was a thoroughbred ex trotting racer. But I hadn't realised the breaks weren't working, so yes, it nearly ended in a disaster with a barbed wire fence or a main road. So it was an emergency stop. I couldn't turn her round, so it was 2 hands I am afraid. But she was fast, like Farouk, very exciting! Yes I like a forward going horse, or I used to, I cannot ride anymore, but that was exciting. The girl on the Fell pony, is she a beginner? I had wondered initially the way she cut across you, I wondered if her horse was uneasy with the approaching horses on the other side. She is young, if she is deliberately cutting in front of people perhaps one of the leaders could gently take her aside and have a quiet word about general rules and safety, road sense. Stuff everyone needs to learn. I know a lot is just common sense. Or even just if the leaders could do a general chat to the group before the next ride. I will say her pony can fairly gallop. I was impressed! So then thinking of that a beginner would not be going flat out I guess. But yes Farouk can't half go!! I was like Yeeeeaaaassss!!!!!!🏇When he just swept past her with ease!!!! That was awesome!!!! Well done Farouk! Born to run🏇💖

I know! I was amazed at the speed! And how the Fell pony caught up. I never knew they could go so fast, mind you they are almost like mini Friesian horses at a glance. I was surprised at how fast it galloped and how quickly it caught up, ridiculously fast! I knew someone who had a Fell pony, but she was a retired mare. Very beautiful though, super long mane.
Absolutely picture perfect countryside for a great day of riding. Farouk was on good behavior which makes a safer environment for you, Tara. It’s always nice to have a reliable steadfast mount you can depend on. Still, that Fell Pony was a close second!

Your videos seriously make me want to figure out a way to move to Yorkshire and buy some horses and go on these pleasure rides. There is nothing like this anywhere near where I live in the high desert area of Oregon. I am sure there are horse trails, but nothing as beautiful and green as what you experience. I know it will never happen in real life, so thanks for taking us along on your rides. It is such a great escape from all the election stress that is happening now in USA. I truly enjoy them so much.

That Fell Pony is a joy to watch, little legs flying, if he'd been bigger I think Farouk would have had a race on his hands :) stamina to burn for sure :) Also thanks for the new earworm! I was 6 when this came out!

Apollo must have been giving trotting lesson to Farouk, he was trying to put the rider of mini Apollo in her place. Rofl... I remember the song. Es war sehr lieb von dir und Farouk nicht allzu sehr Gas zu geben bei diesem kleinen Rennen. Junge Damen wollen, dass ihr Pferdchen das schnellste ist. Nun, auch das müssen junge Damen lernen. Es geht nicht immer nach ihrem Kopf. In Summe ein beschwingter Event in einer flotteren Gruppe. DAS war ein Ausritt, nicht so wie letztens die Karawane, die Steve fast den letzten Nerv gekostet hätte. Sehr liebe Leute und wirklich gut organisiert, beschildert und abwechslungsreich gesteckt!

Great ride. Looked to be very well organized, with so many taking part it had to be! As a group I think you were all of the same mind which makes it so much more enjoyable. Hope all the positive comments get to the young lady and her Fell pony. We are all jealous of her!
I just told off someone who took your Farouk video of his takeoff and was mouthing off about it. This is the 2nd time I have put them down, the other was against an officer and his police horse. Wish people would leave everyone else alone. We love following you and your horses.

The wind on the Hurworth Hunt ride was incredible all the way. I can’t even imagine riding for 32 miles, I’d be in bad shape. Jane
The most I do on an Endurance ride it 34K which is about 21miles
