The brave royal UK Korean war veterans would have watched how the small country they saved sacrificing their lives abd their young times became strong enough to send air show team to UK. I cannot even know the least of their feeling but I am sure they must be proud of Korean and their times in Korean war.
Thank you for sacrifice during the korea war. 1100 🇬🇧 soldiers dead and their names carved in War Memorial of Korea , Yongsan , Seoul.
440 UK 🇬🇧 soldiers buried in United Nations cemetery in Busan , Korea. We honor them forever. When you have chance to visit Korea 🇰🇷, 2 places recomended.

Watching two pilots draw the Korean flag was incredible!
Their display team was staying at the hotel I work at. One of the translators gave me a limited edition black eagles display team shirt and got my photograph signed by all the pilots! I also went to see them at RIAT. These guys and their whole team are incredible people and I hope they come back and display again.

This team was the highlight of the show, fast, furious and very tight. Absolutely loved them. A great set, very refreshing. They flew over my house on Brighton seafront on the wednesday and they were in tight formation then.

I'm a former airmen in Korea. Our nationwidely beloved team, Black Eagles, very rarely attends international airshows. They had made their very first international debut at 2012 RIAT and attended this time in 2022 RIAT again thou the UK is 9000km super far from Korea. Black Eagles had never yet attended any other air shows in other european nations, neither in the US yet. It's very interesting and meaningful that the team chose the UK twice as their destination to visit. I think the team loves the UK. And I appreciate for the britishes for inviting us and giving us the big hospitalities each time Black Eagles visiting the UK. In 2012 RIAT, There were UK Korean war veterans been invited to the show by the Embassy of Korea in London. I hope the veterans were invited this year again and be honoured once again by our Air Force team❤️💙Very well recorded! Thanks UK Aviation Movies!

They've been going since 2012? Wow! I have to admit that I would like to see them displaying at a Scottish airshow if we get one again. I particularly liked the duo who created your country's flag, I thought that was a clever and nice touch! Definitely one for my list of aviation to see for myself!!!

Not very surprising.. South Korea is already one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world in many fields

Saw them back in 2012 and it was like "aye up, who's this lot then" .Well you can imagine my delight when South Korea was mentioned again this year .Absolutely fantastic display team and country

I had no idea that the RoK had a display team, but these guys were seriously good. Very creative.
Black Eagles are the 239th Special Squadron belonging to The 53rd Air Demonstration Group, which specializes in air shows for the Republic of Korea Air Force. The 53rd Air Demonstration Group is under the direct control of the Air Force Headquarters. Black Eagles is consists of 8 Golden Eagles (T-50) and the 53rd Air Demonstration Group commander is a colonel. It consists of a flight squadron, maintenance squadron, operation planning department, and public relations department.

These guys were a awesome watch, respect the Black Eagles on par with the Reds. Think our reds should upgrade to T.50's but the hawk is iconic for them. Respect S.Korea 🇰🇷🤝🇬🇧

Indeed they are look like a flock of birds flying through the air in a beautiful formation constantly changing.
I can't believe it, the best part of this fantastic display has not been shown. Near the end of the show 4 Eagles lined up with facing each other & flew directly towards one another, almost like a chicken run & just missed each other. What a shame for those who weren't there.

Excellent. The colour scheme of the aircraft enhanced the display, the close formation flying reminiscent of the Blue Angels, and the Korean flag brilliant. Well done.

I was exhibiting at RIAT this year, and saw these amazing planes fly in person! By far one of my favourite aircraft of the day! The Black Eagles are just so majestic!

When my childeren were little, almost every year we watched Black Eagle's air show. That was top class in the world! OMG!

I've just gotten back from a raf cadet camp working at RITA, I arrived on the Thursday before the show.
I don't even know the ROK had a display team, never mind being at RIAT, but I must say they have now surpass my love for the red arrows.
I had the opportunity to meet a few of their pilots, asked them to sign my cap and had a group photo. I also had the opportunity to watch them from in front of the fences separating the crowds from the runway, while on crowd control duty. They were awsome!
Awesome. You guys were ace at the show. Really respectful and helpful to the thousands of folks at the show. Thanks for all your hard work. Must have been tricky in that heat too 🥵🥵🥵

I loved everything about it, getting to see everyone from around the world and camping with cadets from around the UK was something I am so grateful for!

I watched the Black Eagles at Fairford yesterday, their display felt like a new genre for aerobatic displays, rather transformer like with quick & crisp structural changes to the formations. It will be interesting to see if they influence next years shows from the European teams.

I saw them at Fairford & I have to say they were spectacular. I love our Red Arrows but, seeing 4 jets passing close to one another from opposite directions I'm afraid made our team look a bit lame as ours only pass 1 on 1. Everybody there who saw it were stunned.
Wow incredible display . I have to agree with another post...makes red arrows look dated. Jets look great...great use of colours..aircraft lights and as youd expect from the koreans...pinpoint accuracy

In the field of excellence that is multi aircraft display team performances - this is genuine next level stuff. The skill, positioning, and sheer professional execution of extremely complex combinations of manoeuvres, to create such an entertaining and visually enjoyable display is just exceptional.
