- This is a taste test/review of the Signature Cookie Assortment from Levain Bakery In New York. Their classic Cookie Assortment includes one of each of their original cookie flavors: Chocolate Chip Walnut, Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip and Oatmeal Raisin. These were paid for and chosen for us by Asma in Ohio! Asma is an Owner/Operator of her own Merle Norman store in Hartville, Ohio.

We live on the upper west side of manhattan where the original Levain Bakery is located. Every time we go to the movies, I go stand in line and get some. My favorite is the chocolate chip walnut and the raspberry bonbolocini. It is light and delicious! We discovered them six years ago when we moved to NYC from Richmond, KY.
I would stand in line for any of these cookies! What a special treat!

I haven't had a Levain's cookie in 4 years and that's 4 yrs. too many. I stood in an obscenely long line in the cold for these cookies and I I plan to do it again whenever I can get back to New York. Asma is a rock star.

So happy you guys were able to try New York’s Levain cookies! I live very close to one of the shops here on Bleeker Street; I ended up spending over $70 for a box of 16 cookies! I got mostly the oatmeal raisin, not a chocolate fan that much, but I did get the rest chocolate chip walnut for my fiancé and family! They have another semi competitor here called Chip NYC. Their cookies are a little larger, and have more of a variety. The cookies from Chip NYC are actually stuffed! By the way, you cannot eat these bad boys every day!😌 And the cookies run around $5 each..
I wish they shipped at Chip NYC. They only offer GrubHub and Uber eats.

Those are so good! I got two as a gift when I went to a work trip to New York. I am super diet health conscious and often struggle with programming treats and ignoring treats that "have too many calories to be worth it", but when I cut a piece of Levain to try it was LOVE. Worth every bite. I agree. My favourite (I had peanut and raisin oatmeal) was the oatmeal.

CupcakeJemma went to NYC and made a copycat recipe. I made them and they're amazing! Best cookie I've ever had for sure, made them three weeks in a row!
YAY!! I have always wanted to send Levain cookies since the shop right next corner to my place, but they did not offer to ship out of states (just NYS) from their website, so I couldn't (guess they have change their mind?). The funny story is that owners created the cookies during their triathlon (easy to intake & high calories for satiety). They are THE BEST COOKIES in the world! I am so glad you finally tasted Levain :D

Right now, I'm gonna settle first with Costco cookies but when it's safe to travel I'll definitely visit that place in NYC.

THESE COOKIES ARE REALLY THE BEST IN NYC! the only other one that comes close is the nutty one from Maman
Regarding the peanut butter chips: I've been trying to find "all natural" peanut butter chips and this is what's in them, Ingredients Partially Defatted Peanuts, Sugar, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil [Palm Kernel Oil, Soybean Oil], Corn Syrup Solids, Dextrose, Reduced Protein Whey (Milk), Contains 2% or Less of: Salt, Palm Kernel Oil, Vanillin, Artificial Flavor, Lecithin (Soy). I've learned to make my own peanut butter chips with only 4 ingredients. I've made a variety of Levain Bakery Cookies knockoff recipes, I think I've got it. I tried to order Levain's bakery but the shipping would have been $49!!!! Yikes, can't do it!!!! Thanks for your video, I love seeing how they look straight from the bakery.

I suddenly want some cookies right now. They look so much butter than the Momofuku Milk Bar ones from Whole Foods.

I wondered if these might've been in the oven a little long. The centres didn't look quite as ooey gooey as I'd expect but maybe it was just hard to see from the camera shot

I think it’s hard to get gooey centers when they are mailed. We first tried Crumbl Cookies through the mail and weren’t impressed at all, but in-person they are a totally different ballgame. I’m sure that’s why Gideon’s in Florida doesn’t mail theirs.

Now you’re torturing me. We are cancelling our trip to New York in August for obvious reasons and I had this as one of the first places to go. I waited 10 years to plan another trip after going in 2010! So sad.

Tami Dunn Australia is being super strict with our borders and we have a travel ban. No interstate or international travel. The government released their “roadmap” which only sees interstate travel in July (state borders are closed) and international travel not likely until the end of the year if not next year! We waited for this announcement and had to make the call. So so so sad. I will get over to your beautiful country again soon. Stay safe! 😭

I'll be honest, Kevin and I could have eaten every bite in one sitting. They were amazing.
i regret every day that i didn't trek to this place and get a cookie while i was in nyc a few years ago. i refuse to order them, though. i cannot justify spending $37 on 4 cookies (no matter how good and big they are, lol).
How had you heard about Levain if you don't mind me asking? We had not heard of them before.
They are $4 in stores. The $37 is probably because of shipping.

Crumbl has different flavors every week. I like Levain, but I do not like how limited their selection is.
