Holy moly... The C525 sounds quite a bit better. It's clearer. Less bassy/boomy/muddy, lacks punch but it's CLEAR which is more important. I have a C525. It's no wonder no one complains about my mic quality despite using a webcam. It has a very decent microphone. Sensitive. If I upgrade to a better webcam, I need to consider the mic as well. Unless I get a separate mic.
